Spacing

Ok, a lot of users see me going around and making edits with the summary of "spacing". What I am doing is taking unnecessary spaces out of the article, such as [[Category: Category name here]] to [[Category:Category name here]], {{Template | Blah | Stuff}} to {{Template|Blah|Stuff}}, and one of the most annoying being: When users put two spaces in between punctuation. Like this. And this!
This may be a very trivial problem, but the less spaces we have, the less server stress we have.

Princess Peach and Bowser's Castle (games)

Description: Currently, many enemies have their locations in their enemy templates listed to areas such as Princess Peach's Castle or Bowser's Castle. Unfortunately, this automatically hotlink to the general article describing these locations from the series. We need specific articles, such as "Princess Peach's Castle (Paper Mario)" as differentiation. For the RPG games, this is especially bad because these locations have many rooms, items, and battles located there that aren't being explained like the world-to-level platformer articles do.

Um... you mean we're making completely new sub-articles on this. I really don't think we need that. If it takes you to the main article, just go find the Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga section or Paper Mario section to find the info, but why are we making new articles. Now, I'd help expand these sections, but if you want to make those section all into sub-articles(or at least the RPG sections), that is best for a proposal. Fawfulfury65 (talk)

Yes, basically. We can't just go to the appropriate sections, because those sections don't offer information as we'd actually need. They just give a brief overview of what the place looks like, and how it's involved in the story. A proposal isn't needed because it's already done. For an example, just look at Super_Mario_World_2:_Yoshi's_Island#Worlds_and_Levels. The platformers get these articles, but all we get are a brief synopsis of different areas that results in stubs. Just a more specific article relating specifically to each game would be far more helpful. Redstar 09:04, 3 December 2009 (EST)

Doesn't that link drop you down to the Worlds and Levels section? I chose the main article because it presents a list of all the levels in the game, linking to the respective pages. It was an example. Redstar 18:11, 3 December 2009 (EST)

When making links to pages, it is better to direct them to the topic they are already following. You do that because, when people are reading, they want info on that topic alone. It takes a while to find something in a huge article and people will lose interest. This way, they can read more if they want to and show them what they want if they don't. Just copy the URL and shorten it to the main article. It also doesn't hurt to have lots of information in an article. People only read what appeals to them. Mario vs. Donkey Kong Series Levels

Description: The articles corresponding to different worlds in Mario vs. Donkey Kong are really small. With this proposal I plan to make them bigger, explaining not only enemies and hazards, but also how to clear the levels, similar to the Donkey Kong Country series level articles. For example: "The first part in this level consists in a platform that moves on rails... ...Mario must carry throw the trash can at the..." And also putting the locations of the presents.

We need to take them ourselves, not from IGN (they're pretty crummy quality). Description: I think we should do articles that are redirects to pages. If you don't know what redirects are, it's like you type in an article that doesn't exist, but it goes to an article (such as King Koopa redirecting to Bowser) and under the article title, small text will say (Redirected from (insert title)). If you don't know how to make a redirect, I'll show you an example:

Here, you want to make an article called SSBB, which doesn't exist yet and you create it, but you don't know what to put there. Since SSBB are the inichles (spelled wrong) of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, type down #redirect[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]] and when you type in SSBB in the search bar again, it will go to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Please don't do joke redirects, like noob going to a user. It will give you a warning. If you want to learn more about redirects, go to Help:Redirect.

Alphabetizing Glitches pages

Description: Go to the articles that list the glitches for many of the Mario games, and put all of the glitches on the page in alphabetical order, as well as add this: {{conjecturaltext|glitch name}} to each of the glitch names, as they are all conjectural. Also, it wouldn't hurt to add <br clear=all> after each glitch section as well, if that's not already there (and also fix the ones that say <br=clear all>, because that's incorrect). I have already done this on the glitch articles for Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, but there are about 36 other glitch articles that require this to be done (just search "Glitches" and they should all come up). After this is done, then just check back periodically to ensure that any new additions to the articles follow these guidelines as well.

Fix up DKC/DKL series levels

Description: Apparently I have seen Fawfulfury65 create many DKC/DKL articles in the past and they are missing quite a good amount of stuff. They are missing the correct verb tense, missing GBC images for the DKC levels. Description I noticed that a lot of the Super Paper Mario pages are badly constructed. I think that a lot more could be written on these pages, e.g. for character pages write lists of what the character says and for locations put lists of what rooms/sections there are in that area and what enimes/characters are there. I think this would be impossible alone so I need more people to help me.
