Appears in Mario Kart DS

The Hurricane is Bowser's unlockable signature kart in Mario Kart DS. It is unlocked after the player beats the Nitro Grand Prix in 100cc mode. It resembles the Koopa Clown Car, but in the form of an airplane with two non-functional propellers. The emblem is located on the two tailfins. The Hurricane has the highest top speed in the game, tied with the ROB-BLS. It also has above-average drift (tied with the Mushmellow), average weight (tied with the Gold Mantis), and low acceleration, handling, and items.

The kart is unlocked for Donkey Kong and R.O.B. as well when the player gets gold trophies in all Nitro or Retro Courses in 150cc, and becomes available for everyone else when gold trophies are obtained in every cup in 150cc Mirror Mode.

In the Nintendo versions of Skylanders: SuperChargers, Hammer Slam Bowser's signature vehicle, the Clown Cruiser, bears a slight resemblance to the Hurricane.
