SSS (Super Smash Speculation)

So, you can probably see that I want all of the veterans from both past games to return, though unfortunately, Sakurai said that at least one person definitely won't return. HOWEVER, he also said he wanted to keep the original twelve in. So, take a look at this list:

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Donkey Kong
  • Yoshi
  • Link
  • Kirby
  • Fox McCloud
  • Samus Aran
  • Pikachu
  • Jigglypuff
  • Captain Falcon
  • Ness
  • Peach
  • Bowser
  • Dr. Mario
  • Zelda/Sheik
  • Young Link
  • Ganondorf
  • Falco Lombardi
  • Pichu
  • Mewtwo
  • Ice Climbers
  • Mr. Game & Watch
  • Marth
  • Roy

Look familiar? It's a list of all the past 25 characters. Anyway, we can rule out the original twelve for being booted, since Sakurai plans on keeping them. Peach, Bowser, Zelda, and Ice Climbers have been confirmed on the DOJO!!, so they're in. Someone basically leaked Sheik and Ganon, so it's safe to assume that they'll be in. Pretty solid proof of Game & Watch can be seen in this video (about 1 minute into it), so I guess I can say he's back as well. So, returning characters (based on my speculation) are:

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Donkey Kong
  • Yoshi
  • Link
  • Kirby
  • Fox McCloud
  • Samus Aran
  • Pikachu
  • Jigglypuff
  • Captain Falcon
  • Ness
  • Peach
  • Bowser
  • Zelda/Sheik
  • Ganondorf
  • Ice Climbers
  • Mr. Game & Watch

... Leaving the following to possibly be booted.

  • Dr. Mario
  • Young Link
  • Falco Lombardi
  • Pichu
  • Mewtwo
  • Marth
  • Roy

Note that most of those are clones. In any case, my guesses on who's getting kicked are Pichu, Dr. Mario, and Roy. Pichu and Dr. Mario are deeply hated clones, and Roy, while good, was really only an advertisement for the then-upcoming Fire Emblem game.

So, if I'm right (probably not :P), the final veterans in the game will be:

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Donkey Kong
  • Yoshi
  • Link
  • Kirby
  • Fox McCloud
  • Samus Aran
  • Pikachu
  • Jigglypuff
  • Mewtwo
  • Captain Falcon
  • Ness
  • Peach
  • Bowser
  • Zelda/Sheik
  • Young Link
  • Ganondorf
  • Falco Lombardi
  • Ice Climbers
  • Mr. Game & Watch
  • Marth

Mario's Party Peril (Fan Fiction)

Ever heard of Lemmy's Land? I'm currently writing a story called Mario's Party Peril on it! But just cause I'm so awesome, I'm posting it here, too. UPDATE: I'm sorry, but I've given up on this story. You can piece together the rest if you want. :P

Chapter One: Discovery of the Party

The Saturday in Kastle Koopa was as loud as it normally was when Larry did his spying.

"LARRY! You are not to see this top secret device!" Ludwig would scream first. It would then be followed by Lemmy's "HEY! This is a private ball-balancing act!", then Roy's "Beat it, squirt, or this punching bag is you," then Wendy's "GET OUT OF MY ROOM!", and lastly, Morton's very long "Larry, I would appreciate, like, prefer, you didn't spy, eavesdrop, look in uninvited, on my practice, preparations, rehearsal, for my speech, lecture..." which would go on.

The only sibling Larry didn't spy on was Iggy, who usually didn't do anything particularly interesting. However, Iggy was actually doing some spying of his own, on everybody at Mario's house. When Larry walked into his room, he noticed the telescope Iggy was using.

"Hey, Iggy!" Larry shouted. "That's MY telescope! Give it back."

"Not now, Larry." Iggy had an unusually snobby tone in his voice. "I'm spying on Mario and... um, his friend."

"Ooh!" Larry suddenly realized he was holding his spare. He pulled out the telescope and looked out the window next to Iggy. He managed to see Professor Elvin Gadd on the second floor of the house. He was in front of a machine with Luigi.

"Oh," Iggy pouted. "I wish I could hear what they were saying."

"Relax. I can read lips." Larry extended his telescope and looked directly at the professor's mouth.

"Luigi, this will be the perfect gift for Mario," E. Gadd presumably said. "I'm sure he'll enjoy that surprise party at Princess Toadstool's Castle, as well."

"Yeah," Luigi replied. "I mean, he really deserves this party after what he's been through."

"Woah!" Larry shouted. Iggy fell back in surprise. "Mario's getting a party at Peach's castle!"

"What for?" Iggy questioned.

"Actually, I'm not quite sure. But Luigi said something about him 'really deserving' it. I guess he's been through hard times lately."

"Gee," Iggy said. "If he wasn't King Dad's arch-rival, I might actually feel sorry for him."

Chapter Two: A Castle Hassle with an Evil Plan

Mario was in the living room of the Bros' house, reading a book and listening to the TV. For a while, he was actually pretty bored, until eventually from upstairs, he heard an electrical shock.

"Hmm?" Mario said to himself. He walked upstairs, where E. Gadd and Luigi were "doing something so super top secret that we're not even sure what it is". He curiously opened the bedroom door, which Gadd and Luigi had their backs turned to, so they paid no attention to Mario, despite their pleading for him not to come in.

"Luigi!" Gadd cried. "Are you okay, my boy?"

"I'm fine, Professor," Luigi muttered. He was covered in ashes, and so Mario guessed that Luigi had just been electrocuted. Just then, Luigi noticed Mario. "Hey! Get out, Mario!"

"All right, all right," Mario mumbled to his brother. "I just heard a noise, I wanted to make sure everything was fine up here." He noticed some fumes from Luigi's burnt body. "And smoking's not cool."

"Har har," Luigi sarcastically said to Mario. E. Gadd hurriedly shut the door in his face. "We'll let you in at the right time!" he said.

With a special event coming up, Mario knew that they were probably working on a special gift for him. "But what...?

Peach groaned. This was the first time she had thrown a party for Mario, and she wasn't so sure it would go well.

Aside from a lack of self-esteem in the situation, Peach had reason to believe the party would go haywire.

First of all, Chef Toadette's cake had a few... extra ingredients in it, and they caused the cake to implode inside the oven. A second one had to be made, but the oven had broken down after some of the frosting had jammed a part inside of it. Also, Toadsworth thought that there were choking hazards involved in wrapping presents, and so he didn't want Peach to do it (despite most choking hazards applying to only toddlers). As a result, he'd borrowed Gadd's mechanical gift wrapper, which soon malfunctioned and started smashing all of Mario's presents. Peach knew something else was bound to go wrong.

Toad walked into her room, unsuccesfully trying to comfort her. "Don't worry, Princess. I'm sure we'll have everything ready when Mario and his friends stop by."

"Oh, Toad..." Peach said politely. "Drop it. You and I both know this party's gonna be a flop."

With that, Toad ran off. Peach's vein started throbbing.

"Argh!" Peach shouted to herself. "Because I can't get this party to come through, I've been upsetting everybody! I worried Toadsworth, I criticized Toadette's cooking skills, and I offended Toad!" She was furious, and when she came out to further direct the workers, she was simply screaming at them and showed no mercy, all because of the anger that had built up inside of her. Toadsworth, who usually was afraid for Peach's safety, was now afraid for his own safety. He ran off behind five Toads that were slacking off and talking about Peach's fit. Their names were Toady, Toadi, Toadie, Toadee, and Clyde.

"Y'know," Toadee said, "it'd be nicer if Peach sort of, well, wasn't being so incredibly irritable today."

"I know," Toadi replied. "I've barely been able to breathe today."

"Why don't we try to stop her?" Toady blurted out.

"Or, rather," Toadie said, "we could stop the person who's the reason for this party."

Clyde was the one Toad left who hadn't yet spoken, and his capability of being able to only speak one-word sentences had caused him to wait until he could answer to this, "Mario?" Then, the Toads let out some more-or-less evil laughter. Some were laughing evilly, some were laughing at Clyde's silly voice.

"Now, hold on!" Toadsworth shouted. Being right behind the five Toads, he'd heard everything they said. "I understand how one would be aggrivated by the princess' behavior, but we musn't cross over to the dark side!"

For a brief moment, the five Toads glared at Toadsworth. Five minutes later, the elderly Mushroom was locked in a closet.

"Now then," Toadee began, "I don't know how we can capture Mario. We're five innocent Toads!"

"Yeah," Toadi agreed. "We're no match for Mario, even combined!"

"Well, maybe we could get an accomplice," Toady thought.

"Right!" Toadie exclaimed. "We'd temporarily have an- uh, what's it called."

"Alliance?" Clyde asked. Everybody else nodded.

Chapter 3: Bowser's Accomplices

"Peach is doing WHAT?!" Bowser roared when Larry told him about Mario's party.

"Uh, yes," Larry sheepishly uttered. "You see, King Dad, Iggy and I spied on Green Mario, and he mentioned a party for Mario."

"Well," Bowser said, "we'll have to crash it. I'm in a bad mood anyway." He pressed a button on a wall that read "intercom". "KOOPALINGS! MEETING IN THE THRONE ROOM!"

Soon Larry and Iggy saw the other five Koopalings rush in. Roy and Morton came from the same room, and Morton's black eye made it obvious Roy had been pummeling him. Lemmy was being held by the throat by Wendy, whose bow had his ball stuck in it. And Ludwig was covered in ashes, which meant he had failed an experiment.

"All right, kids, listen up. Mario's going to have a party at Princess Peach's Castle later this week, and so we're gonna crash it!" There was mixed reactions. Ludwig laughed in excitement and Lemmy smiled, but the others groaned, preferring to do something else. "QUIET!" Bowser shouted. "Now let's-"

"Hello?" said a high-pitched Toad voice. The Koopas saw a Toad climb in from the Window. You may be able to recognize him as Clyde.

"Hey!" Roy shrieked. "It's a Toad! He's probably here to spy on us!"

"Pardon my Spanish," said another Toad voice, as Toady climbed through the window, "but au contraire." Soon three more Toads- Toadie, Toadee, and Toadi- climbed in after him.

"Isn't that Dutch?" Toadee interrupted.

"It's German!" Toadi shouted.

"No, it's Portuguese!" Toadie guessed.

"HEY!" Lemmy shouted. "What do you Toads want? I bet they want some info on us for Mario, King Dad!"

"Contraire," Clyde said.

"Yes," Toadi said. "Our friend who... has a way with words is right. We're rebellions against the entire Mario Gang.

"And we'd like to join you in destroying Mario."

"Hmm... How can we trust you?" Bowser questioned.

The Toads tried to explain themselves.

Peach was still flaming at the castle. When she found that five of her Toads were gone, she could barely hold herself in.

"THOSE ROTTEN TOADS!" she shouted. "HOW DARE THEY TRY TO RUIN THE PARTY?!" At this point, Peach didn't know for sure they were actually trying to ruin Mario's party, but she was too angry to reason with herself.

"Princess," E. Gadd said as he came to the castle, "I think Ma-"

"WHAT IS IT, YOU ROTTEN FUNGI- Oh, hi Professor. How's it going with the gift at Mario's house?"

"Actually, the present itself is coming along nicely, but we still have a few kinks to work out. And I think Mario could be on to us. But that's okay, right?"

"RRGGH..."

E. Gadd soon found himself flying back towards the Marios' house.

Back at Kastle Koopa, the Toads had managed to convince Bowser's family that they were evil in a way that I'd explain, but it happened when we cut to the situation with Peach, and so you'll never know how it worked out.

"All right, King Dad, what's the first order?" Larry asked. The Toads replied with laughter.

"Us," Clyde replied.

"What Clyde means," Toadi said, "is that WE'LL be giving the orders here."

"What?!" Morton said in disbelief. "That's a preposterous, absurd, ridiculous, nonsensible, incompetent decision! We should-"

"We'll trade you Morton for Clyde," Roy interrupted.

"Heh. No," Toadie said. "The first thing we want you guys to do is go to Mario's house and sabotage his gift! It's a mechanical device on the table in his bedroom."

"I'll go!" Morton volunteered. Everybody agreed with this decision, and quickly booted him out of the castle.

Back at Mario's house, Luigi and Gadd were working hard on the present.

"I'm hungry, Professor," Luigi said. "Can we go downstairs for a lunch break?"

"Okay," Gadd replied. They left the room, just as Morton came flying through the window. He looked at the present, and all the loose tools next to it.

"Now I must sabotage, wreck, destroy this present, gift, uh... free thingy... yeah. Um... talk talk talk!"

Downstairs, Mario was watching the Mushroom Capital News Channel.

"I'm here in front of Kastle Koopa," the Toad reporter said, "and approximately an hour and twenty minutes ago, Bowser's son Morton Koopa Jr. was blasted out by a Bullet Blaster. He was suspiciously sent in the direction of local hero Mario Mario's house, as well as... er... Linguini Mario..."

"AIGH!" screamed Luigi.

"Hee hee," Gadd chuckled. "Looks like I'm the only one who gets your name, buddy."

"This is even more suspicious," the reporter continued, "due to the fact that Professor Elvis Tadd was there at this same time."

"WHAT?!" Gadd shouted.

"Uh," Mario uttered. "I'm gonna go check upstairs to see if everything's all right..."

He ran up to his bedroom before an argument broke out. When he got up there, he saw the window open, and noticed Morton running off. "Hoo boy..."

Chapter 4: The Party Begins

Two hours passed, and Mario forgot to tell them about Morton Koopa Jr.

"Mario," E. Gadd said meekly, "I'm sorry we had to take apart your present to revive Luigi." Luigi had previously connected the wires improperly several times, insisting it was the proper way to do it. He continued doing it until he was reduced to ashes, and Mario allowed Gadd to take apart his mechanical gift to change it into a S.K.I.N.-2-flesh 8000. Gadd was tinkering with the device continuously, and oddly he repeated some of his actions pointlessly. "Just one more... Hey!"

"What's wrong?!" Mario jumped up.

"Nothing for sure, but... it appears that this gear is not formed the proper way for this device to serve as a Do-it-Yourself Zess T. Pasta Griller. If I gave you this device this way, it would explode in your face the instant you turned it on!"

"... Great," muttered Luigi's ashes.

"Hey!" Mario exclaimed. "I forgot to tell you guys... I saw Morton Koopa Jr. running off earlier, after we saw the news report."

"Uh oh," Gadd cried. "I hope that'll be the first and last Koopaling we see."

At the castle, the guests were piling in. Donkey Kong and Diddy arrived to pilot the DK Blimp, which would take all of the guests to a parade for Mario on Yoshi's Island. Yoshi came to enjoy the party and taste-test all of Chef Toadette's recipes. Birdo followed Yoshi to the party. Daisy came to spend some time with Luigi. Wario and Waluigi came to crash the party, if it wasn't cool enough for them. Mario's many friends showed up, from the Bob-omb Buddies of the Bob-omb Battlefield to the Great Gonzalez's fans in Glitzville.

"It time for Mario Party!" Yoshi cheered.

"ANOTHER ONE?!" Wario questioned.

"Oh. No. Those games stinko. Yoshi mean time for Mario surprise party!" Everybody sighed in relief.

"Ah," Daisy spoke up, "just one problem, Yoshter. WHERE'S MARIO?"

"Right here," replied you-know-who. Everyone turned their attention toward the entrance to Peach's Castle. There, obviously, was Mario.

"Hmph. Hey, fatty." Wario groaned.

"Hey!" Daisy cried. "Where's Luigi?"

"I'm here! I'm here!" Luigi rushed in, with a black, deformed hand. "Oops. Guess the device isn't in full effect yet."

"W-wow, Daisy!" Waluigi shouted. Hearts formed in his eyes. "It's like you have the ability to summon people!"

"Heh... Yeah... Um... Where's Gadd?" At that moment, Professor E. Gadd showed up.

"ALL RIGHT!" Peach exclaimed. "Mario's here, Luigi's here, Gadd's here, and the cake's in process! Only one hour 'til the party starts."

"ONE HOUR?!"

Morton slowly and tiredly hiked his way back to Bowser's castle. It wasn't a very pleasant trip, and the hike up seventy-three floors to reach the throne room made it worse.

"M-mission accomplished." Morton fainted.

"Yo! What's the deal wit' that?" Roy asked. "Only two words and he's out cold?"

"Never mind," Clyde said.

"Hey!" Toadi said. "Isn't never mind two words?"

"Meep," Clyde said dryly.

"WHO CARES?!" Toadie shouted. "The point is, Morton 'fixed' Mario's present! Right?" Obviously, there was no answer from the passed out Koopaling, but the Toads and Koopas had already heard him say "mission accomplished", so Toady explained the next move.

"All right," Toady began. "First we'll need two Koopas for this mission." Iggy and Lemmy "volunteered". "Now, what you're gonna do is head to Mushroom Castle, and while nobody's around, you must somehow sneak into the first floor kitchen. That's where the cake's baking."

"So, what we do," Iggy said, "is plant something dangerous in the cake?"

"Pardon my pig Latin," Toady said, "but au contraire once more. You're gonna eat the cake!"

"Hooray!" Iggy and Lemmy both cheered for the mission they got, but their cheering was interrupted by Wendy.

"Objection!" Wendy cried.

"Woah, Phoenix Wright. Whassa matta wit chu?"

"Me? You're the one using that dumb slang. Anyway, I want to come on this mission!"

"Actually, my dear, we have a special mission in mind for you."

"Ooh ooh ooh! What is it?!"

"Surprise," Clyde said. He chuckled to himself.

"Well," Toadi said, "you two best get going." And with that, the Koopaling twins set off.

Chapter Five: Koopa's First Failure

After stealing Morton's cannon, Iggy and Lemmy aimed for Mushroom Castle and blasted off.

"So," Lemmy said in mid-air, "do you want to take the top layer?"

"It depends on the type of cake. And maybe we can leave a bit of frosting left and with our fingers, we'll mark 'The Koopa twins were here!'" Iggy cheered.

As Yoshi fetched fuel for the DK Blimp (and maybe snag a few snacks while in the kitchen), Peach was maniacally laughing. "Yes..." she whispered to herself. "Mario's party shall be... perfect... Hee hee... HAW HAW HA HAAAH!!"

"Peach!" Mario cried to the princess. "Are you okay? You seem to be hyperventilating. Or, at best, just having an episode."

"No, Mario... I'm... f-f-f-fine... Heh heh... har har HAAH!!" At the instant Peach stopped her crazy laughing, a crash was heard.

"Eep!" Yoshi cried. He had just fetched the bananas and was about to leave the kitchen. But it appeared that some guests had dropped in, and had other plans for him.

"Okay, listen up, dino breath. If-" Lemmy said. "-You tell anyone about this little-" Iggy continued. "-Meeting, we'll make your life-" "MISERABLE!" the two finished.

"No way!" Yoshi replied courageously, although still a bit frightened. "Y-Yoshi not letting bad Koopalings get away with scary Bowser's plans! Yoshi tell Princess!"

Iggy held up a giant watermelon. Yoshi taped his mouth shut and left with Iggy's bribe.

"Alright, bro. Now that we got that egghead out of our way, we can swipe the cake quietly..."

Away from the Mushroom Kingdom, Kastle Koopa, and Plit in its entirety, the evil spirit of Dimentio, Mario's previous enemy, made his way to Dimension D, the long abandoned area created by the sick and twisted Dimentio himself.

"Ah ha ha ha ha ha... these shape-shifting powers are great... It's too bad I couldn't persuade you to give them to me sooner." Dimentio laughed to himself, then looked into his secret dungeon, behind the green wall of his dimension. "Wouldn't you say so, pals?" He laughed at the arachnid and the Duplighost inside his dungeon and closed it up. "With these powers, I'll soon betray those fungus fools and make them all pay!" And with that, the spirit disappeared.

In the dungeon, the sheet looked at his cell mate. "We have to get out of this place... and warn those slick guys!"

Back at Kastle Koopa, Clyde had just come back from the sandwich shop on the ninety-third floor, and had ham for everybody.

"Well, Clyde," Toady joked, "at least YOUR mission is complete. I wonder what's taking those Koopa twins so long."

"Well, they're not exactly known for their speed," Ludwig told him. "In fact, Lemmy is slow in both the running way and the thinking way. Woohoohoo! Ooh..."

"I don't care," Toadie said. "We haven't got much time to unwind the next plan." Toadie then explained how it would work. One of the Koopalings would follow the DK Blimp to Yoshi's Island, and use a Super Scope to shoot it down.

"Of course, you'll be following them in our first-class hot-air balloon." Toadee showed them a filthy, patched-up hot-air balloon attached to a picnic basket.

Roy became hysterical at the sight of the balloon. "Wow! I feel sorry for whichever one of you suckers has to ride that thing." He crossed his fingers. "Morton, Morton, Morton..." he said under his breath. Then, Bowser, Roy's siblings, and the Toads stared at Roy. "Ooh... uh-oh."

Peach was talking to Mario in front of the DK Blimp, which was being boarded by all of the guests. "So, I figure that we'll be at the parade for about an hour and a half, and then we'll come back for cake and gifts. Sound good?"

Mario liked the thought, and knew that Peach would go into another fit of rage if he said no. "That's great, Princess!" And Mario boarded the blimp. Peach entered the Castle one more time to make sure everything was ready. As she checked the throne room, Chef Toadette found Toadsworth in the closet.

"Toadsworth?! How on Plit...?! What are you doing in here?!"

While Peach was in the dance hall, Toadette and Toadsworth were in the kitchen.

"Chiseling Chain Chomps! Galloping Goombas! Look at this mess! And those... those Koopas!"

Apparently, Iggy and Lemmy had an allergic reaction to the cake and ended up passing out on the floor. This had also caused them to lose their rainbow hair, and their heads swelled up. "Well, that's great," Toadette said. "When the Princess sees this, she's gonna lose it. Like, permanently."

"Wait... I've got an idea. But it'll require a lot of paint."

"Uh, how 'bout food coloring?"

The Princess made her way to the kitchen from the concert room, and Chef Toadette and Toadsworth had taken a different route out of the castle. "AAAAIIIGH!!" That was her only reaction when she saw the Koopa twins and the ruined cake. However, the Koopa twins no longer looked like the Koopa twins. They were covered in a variety of different food colorings, and they greatly resembled Chef Toadette and Toadsworth. "You DISGRACEFUL... ROTTEN... FUUUUNNNGUUUUSS!!"

The two "Toads", still unconscious, were then launched out of the castle by Bill Blasters. They landed in Kastle Koopa, right after Roy had left. The first to notice them was Ludwig.

"Hey! It's some more Toads who have come to help us!"

"No!" Toadee cried. "It's a buncha goodie-goodie Toads, on Mario's side!"

"That's it, we'll put em in the lava pits!" Bowser shouted. He tied the Koopalings to a rope above the lava pool, which slowly lowered. Suddenly, the twins awoke.

Chapter Six: The Strike of the Scope

About an hour passed, and Roy had gotten ready to leave. Toadee put out a map on the table.

"Now for the next part of the plan."

"What?!" Larry said. "I thought Roy attacking the blimp was the whole plan. Don't tell us we have to get in those rotten balloons too."

"Nope," Clyde said. He looked at the other Toads, and they nodded at him to give the plan. "...Okay, so we're going to take Bowser's Koopa Clown Car to the parade and disguise it as a Yoshi Float. Once we see the Mario gang, we blast them with Super Scopes!"

"Finally, a real sentence," Wendy said.

"Riiight," Clyde replied. Wendy rolled her eyes.

"Um," Bowser said, "I'm not quite sure how many people my Koopa Clown Car is built to h-"

"OH MY DAD, THAT'S HOT!"

Bowser looked down at the lava pool and saw the Toadalings. They were screaming for help (with no success, obviously) and were about ten feet above the lava.

"C'mon, King Dad! Help us!" Iggy cried.

"HA!" Bowser laughed. "Calling me 'King Dad' and mocking Iggy's ridiculous girly voice won't fool me! Say good-bye, fungus brains!"

"Well, Iggy, it's been nice... um... crushing Mario with you."

"Whattya mean? We were always at least two worlds apart!" Iggy looked down at the lava, then noticed something happening to his feet. They had resorted back to their original, orangey state. "Wait a minute, Lemmy! The paint is melting off!" He turned to Lemmy, who, since was shorter, had not reached the heat to cause it to melt. However, his head and the top half of his body were back to normal color. "Mmm, uh, I dunno bro. This stuff is awfully good-tasting for paint." Lemmy continued licking the food coloring on the back of his shell.

"That's it!" Iggy cried. He started licking his entire head and the bottom half of his body melted to normal. By the time he finished, Lemmy's body was back to normal, too. "Oh, King Daaaaaaad!"

"For the last time, I am not falling for thaaaAAAAAAIIIGGGHHHH!!" Bowser saw his kids over the lava and immediately started pulling the rope back up. "Phew!" the Koopa King said. "Well, I guess there's a good and bad side to this."

"Really?"

"Yes. The good side? I saved my two kids from death. Which... would've been caused by me in the first place. The bad side? Now I have two more people to cram into my Koopa Clown Car!" The Koopalings sighed.

Peach, who thought she had taken care of the "meddlesome" Toads, had finally boarded the blimp, and they took off. About one half-hour into the trip, they saw the island. "Wow," Mario said. "I think I can already see some of the floats!" "And... There's a hotair balloon to welcome us!" Luigi pointed at a filthy balloon, with many patches.

"W-w-w-w-w-welcome balloon...?!" Peach thought for a moment. She hadn't planned that.

"Hmm..." Daisy said. "That creature doesn't look like a Yoshi at all."

"I'll use my Gaddscope to get a better look." The professor took out a telescope and saw that Roy was in it, a person whom he hadn't recognized until the Gaddscope analyzed him.

NAME: Koopa, Roy AGE: 10 yrs. SPECIES: Koopaling; Spiny PARENTS: King Bowser Koopa

"Ooh... uh... Mario?" The professor whispered to Mario.

"Dangit! Why now?!" Mario whispered to the Princess.

"EAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!" Peach screamed. "TOADS! You still know that emergency defensive maneuver?"

"You mean number 8.5?" one of the Toads asked.

"Yeah. You need to use it on that balloon over there." She pointed to Roy's hot air balloon. The Toads nodded, and stood on each other's heads. The second to highest-up Toad grabbed the feet of the one on top of him, and with careful precision, threw him towards the balloon. From a pocket in the back of his vest, the Toad pulled out a Bob-omb in lit air and wound it up. He landed on top of the balloon, ripped off the patch, quickly threw the Bob-omb back in, put the patch back on, and jumped off. He then fell on top of a Jugem's Cloud and slowly floated back to the balloon. "Mission accomplished," he exclaimed. The crowd on the blimp (except piloting DK and Diddy, who had to keep their eyes on the sky) watched the balloon, waiting for the big kaboom.

"Hmm," Roy said curiously. He noticed that Mario, along with everybody else on the blimp he was supposed to shoot down was staring at him. "I think I better phone in on King Dad." Roy picked up his walkie-talkie and pressed a button that read "King Dad".

"Yes?" Bowser ringed in. He sounded like he was quite angry, and he was. The Toads were suiting him up in a Pink Yoshi costume (the only one that was left at the costume-shop) for the parade. "This better be good, Roy... 'cause my mood's NOT!" When Bowser said this, it seemed more directed to Clyde, who was putting the head of the costume on him, than Roy.

"Done!" Clyde exclaimed. He finished scribbling black pupils on the eyes of Bowser's costume, and he was immediately swiped off by Bowser and landed near Toady and Toadie. Simultaneously, Morton landed here after Wendy caber-tossed him (for being a "whiny doofus-face").

"Oh, hey guys," Toadie said. She was reading a newspaper with Toady. "This Mushroom Daily says that some foreign creature has been detected in the Mushroom Kingdom, and it's a supernatural being. I can't believe this nonsense made it to the paper."

"Yeah, and it's not even a tabloid," Toady said!

Clyde and Morton looked at the paper, wide-eyed. "Wow wow wow," said Morton, "I can't believe this! Are they sure it's a foreign thing and not some normal undead thing like a Boo? Speaking of which, why do they call it 'undead'? Just because they're a ghosty doesn't mean they're not dead, like 'undead' would literally mean NOT dead, ri-" Bowser then ran up to the four in his Yoshi costume. "Hey Toads! I think something happened to Roy!"

"What are you saying, Pinky?!" Toady demanded.

"Well, I was talking to Roy over the walkie-talkie, and then I just heard an explosion and static... and that was it!"

"Help!" Clyde exclaimed. The Toads gathered the group to discuss Roy's presumable fall.
