This list of implied entertainment is a list of games, television shows, books, and other kinds of media that have not physically appeared in any form of media up to this point in time. Regardless of their lack of appearance, the implied entertainment have been mentioned at least once throughout the Super Mario franchise.

High Seas is the name of the latest film starring Flint Westwood in the Saturday Supercade episode "Movie Mania". It is apparently a swashbuckler film about a human and his ape partner.
The Return of the Phantom[edit]
The Return of the Phantom is a film mentioned in Clovis's newspaper in the Saturday Supercade episode "Movie Mania." To get back at Flint Westwood and Donkey Kong after being fired, he decides to pose as the "Phantom," its titular character.

The Flintstones is an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, originally aired on ABC from September 30, 1960, to April 1, 1966. The show takes place in a modern interpretation of the Stone Age, in the town of Bedrock, featuring the titular family, The Flintstones, and The Rubbles, their next-door neighbors. In the Latin American Spanish dub of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Bats in the Basement", when Mario mentions that their exchange student, Count Zoltan Dracula, sleeps all day, Luigi counters, saying that Mario does as well, unless a marathon of The Flintstones is on.

Duck Hunt is a light gun shooter game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1984, appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "Time Out Luigi". At the beginning, Luigi can be seen playing the game using his NES Zapper, though no footage of the game is shown.
Duck Hunt later makes appearances as a microgame for WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, WarioWare: Twisted!, WarioWare: Touched!, and WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase. It also makes an appearance as a stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as a fighter, featuring the dog and duck from the game.
Lifestyles of the Poor and Unknown[edit]
Lifestyles of the Poor and Unknown is a television show mentioned in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! live-action segment "The Painting". The title is a parody of the American television series Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. When Mario and Luigi are amazed at the new fortune their painting would give them, Howard Stevens tells them to dream big, saying they might appear on his show one day, Lifestyles of the Poor and Unknown.

It is a parody of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, a PBS show that was airing during the time that Super Mario World was airing. Yoshi becomes excited when Koopa brings it up. However, it is never shown airing.

Baroness Blue Blood[edit]
Baroness Blue Blood is a comic book series mentioned in the Nintendo Comics System comic "The Adventures of Dirk Drain-Head". The title is a reference to Baron Blood, the name of several supervillains appearing in Marvel Comics. In the comic, Princess Toadstool mentions that she does not understood why he finds Dirk Drain-Head appealing, as she considers Baroness Blue Blood much better. Luigi also mentions that he saw the latest issue available at the comic shop near World 5-1 the other day, and the Princess orders him to pick it up for her.
Later, at the comic shop, Luigi discovers that they are out of Baroness Blue Blood issues because Bowser bought them all to line his Birdo cages.

Bowling for Pasta[edit]
Bowling for Pasta is a form of the game bowling played in the Mushroom Kingdom, mentioned in the Super Mario Bros. comic "Love Flounders." The game's name is based on the title of the game show Bowling for Dollars. It is themed around Mario's favorite food, pasta; the bowling balls used in the game resemble large meatballs and are even edible, as Princess Toadstool ends up eating Mario's bowling ball in the story. Mario, along with Luigi and Toad, regularly participates in this game and hates having to miss out on playing it.
Kingdom's Most Wanted[edit]
Kingdom's Most Wanted is a television program mentioned by Bowser in the Nintendo Comics System issue "Bedtime for Drain-Head". Bowser tells a captured Toad that he hoped to see his father on the television program Kingdom's Most Wanted, a parody of America's Most Wanted, a show dedicated in helping catch criminals.

Killer Instinct[edit]
Killer Instinct is a 1994 fighting game by Rare. Cranky Kong mentions this game in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. He states that he believes the game is not good due to himself not appearing in it.[42] Despite this, he still plays the game[43] and owns an arcade cabinet of the game, which can be seen in the Monkey Museum.

Ape Quarterly is a subscription service that Donkey Kong pays for, as mentioned by himself in the Donkey Kong Country episode "Legend of the Crystal Coconut" during the song "Tell Me Everything". It is never explained what is provided from using this subscription service.
Banana Slammers[edit]
The Banana Slammers are a form of entertainment mentioned in the Donkey Kong Country episode "Barrel, Barrel...Who's Got the Barrel." Bluster Kong offers Candy Kong to go see the Banana Slammers with him, as he has two tickets. Candy denies the offer to finish her lunch with Donkey Kong. It is never explained what form of entertainment the Banana Slammers is. The name is a reference to "banana slamma," Donkey Kong's catchphrase from the same show.
Maniac Monkeys on the Moon[edit]
Maniac Monkeys on the Moon is a fictional science fiction movie that Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong tell Cranky about in the Donkey Kong Country episode "To the Moon Baboon." In it, some monkeys go to the moon to look for life and discover a time capsule full of blueprints. They then realize that they are blueprints for themselves as they are actually robots, causing them to go insane and become the titular "maniac monkeys on the moon." No further details of the plot are revealed, as Cranky becomes so annoyed he shuts them up. The title appears to be a reference to the 1952 serial film Radar Men from the Moon.

Planet of the Apes[edit]
Planet of the Apes is a multimedia franchise about a post-apocalyptic world where humans and intelligent apes fight for control as the dominant species. During the Donkey Kong Country episode "Legend of the Crystal Coconut," Donkey Kong mentions that he owns Planet of the Apes trading cards during the song "Tell Me Everything".

Rugrats, referred to by Donkey Kong and Nancy Blair Griffin as "The Rugrats", is an American cartoon series created by the production company Klasky Csupo, originally aired on Nickelodeon as a Nicktoon from August 11, 1991 to August 1, 2004. This show revolves around a group of infants (including Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Angelica Pickles, Phil DeVille, Lil DeVille, etc.) whose inexperience with life and wild imaginations make common experiences into adventures. In the test video "Nancy Blair Griffin - Media Lab, Studio LA", Griffin tells Donkey Kong that her children enjoy watching Rugrats and one of the members in the infant group, Tommy.

Sing Along With Uncle Swampy Show is a television show targeted towards younger children that is mentioned in the Donkey Kong Country episode "Bluster's Sale Ape-Stravaganza."
