Head Rattle is a badge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It can be found at Keelhaul Key, in a red ? Block to the right of the area with the Keelhaul Galleria, bought from the Lovely Howz of Badges after Chapter 4 for 100 coins, and is rarely dropped after battle by Fuzzies, Ruff Puffs, and Bob-ombs. If Mario equips this badge, he is able to use a new hammer ability called Head Rattle, which costs two FP to use. When activated, it deals the same damage as a regular hammer attack, but if the Action Command is timed correctly, the move inflicts the targeted enemy with the Confused status for two turns, which may cause them to attack other enemies or heal Mario and his partner. If multiple copies of the badge are equipped, enemies that are inflicted stay confused for more turns.
