Template:Infobox Mario Party: The Top 100 is an upcoming game in the Mario Party series set to be released for Nintendo 3DS.[1] It is set to be the twenty-first game in the Mario Party series overall, as well as the third game in the series to be released for Nintendo 3DS. The game is a compilation of various minigames from prior home console Mario Party games, all of which have been redone with updated graphics and controls. The game is compatible with local wireless play and Download Play, which allows up to four players.[2] The game will support amiibo, which can be used in the Minigame Island mode and the new Minigame Pack mode[3].

Eight characters are confirmed to be playable.[4]

Non-playable characters

Toad and Toadette are non-playable characters who serve as the game's hosts, while Donkey Kong and Bowser serve as NPCs for various minigames.[4]

There will be a total of 100 minigames in this game.[1][2] Players can tag minigames as favorites to ease the process of selecting a minigame they wish to play in.[2]

Changes

  • The Piranha Plant in Piranha's Pursuit is replaced with Petey Piranha.
  • The Bowser Suit of the lone player in Tug o' War has a Bowser face attached to it, with the character's head poking out.
  • The platforms in Hexagon Heat have different shapes imprinted on their surfaces.
  • A Mega Mushroom replaces the regular Mushroom in Toadstool Titan, which has been renamed Mush Pit.
  • The Shy Guy in Shy Guy Says does not have a jacket, though his pirate hat is still retained.
