Template:Species-infobox Kobu Kokko are a species of chicken/plant hybrid-like enemies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Because they sleep, they are generally harmless, though Donkey Kong can be injured by running into them. During their sleep, their heads will tilt down, giving Donkey Kong a change to use his Sound Wave Attack to make the Kobu Kokko's comb pop out, stunning it for at least one second. Donkey Kong can then punch this fifteen times to defeat it, which will cause the enemy to explode and eight bananas to appear.

Kobu Kokko appear in Sky Garden, Ice Warren, Cactus Mine, and Magma Coliseum.

In the Cactus Mine and Magma Coliseum, angered Kobu Kokko appear. Unlike the earlier pair, they are awake and constantly twitching. When Donkey Kong gets close enough to them, they will become angry, turn red, and slam their heads violently into the ground, which can damage him. They are defeated in the same way as the sleeping Kobu Kokko.
