Sphere Factor is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party 7 and Mario Party: The Top 100. Its name is a pun on the title of the NBC reality game show Fear Factor, as was the name of the Mario Party 6 minigame Pier Factor.

Introduction[edit]

The camera focuses on the goal line, then pans to the players.

Gameplay[edit]

The object of the minigame is for each pair to get its giant ball to the goal. The ball must be pushed around and through many obstacles, which include mini-mazes, Monty Moles, Whomps, and a bridge that is particularly hard to get over. If the ball falls off the bridge, it needs to be pushed up a steep hill. The team that gets its ball to the goal first wins. If five minutes pass in Mario Party 7, the minigame ends in a tie.

In Mario Party: The Top 100, the balls roll much faster than they did in Mario Party 7.
