—In-game description

Penguin vs. Torpedo is a Time Attack challenge in the Challenge Mode of New Super Mario Bros. U.

Objective[edit]

The player has to reach the goal ring in penguin form within a set time limit of one minute. At the same time, the player must not get hit by any Torpedo Teds. If the player gets hit by a Torpedo Ted or runs out of time, the challenge automatically ends in a failure. However, if the player reaches the goal ring in penguin form within one minute without getting hit by a Torpedo Ted, they will complete the challenge and earn a medal afterwards.

Medals[edit]

  • Gold medal: 45.00 or less
  • Silver medal: 50.00 or less
  • Bronze medal: 60.00 or less
