Appears in Mario Golf: Advance Tour

Elf's Short Course is a golf course that appears in Mario Golf: Advance Tour. It is a slightly altered version of Golf Guru’s Pitch and Putt from Mario Golf for the Game Boy Color. It has 18 holes, however only 9 unique greens and tees. All of it’s holes are Par 3, giving the course a total par of 54. Unlike other courses in the game, the entire course is on one map, meaning that the player can hit the ball to the green of another hole. The course is owned by Elf, who challenges the player (Neil or Ella) to complete the course by doing a “one-on, one-putt” and tells them that he has greatly increased the difficulty of the course since the last time someone beat his course. To complete the challenge, on each hole the player must hit the ball on the green, then putt the ball into the hole, meaning that each hole must be completed in at least two strokes. This challenge follows the same rules as the "One-on, One-putt" mode from Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. Landing on the fringe or missing the green or the hole will result in a failure. Each hole used in the challenge is the odd numbered hole from the 18 hole version of the course. The pin will be in one of two set positions on the green, being randomly chosen each time the hole is played.

Once the challenge is beaten, Elf will give the player a Hyper Bottle and all 18 holes of the course will be unlocked for use in Quick Play, for the Stroke Play, Club Slots, Near Pin and Training modes. If played as an 18 hole course, each green will be used twice, however each second time will use a different tee from one of the other holes. Unlike all of the other selectable courses, Elf’s Short Course doesn’t have an option to select back tees, due to the different layout of the course. When the Game Mode Near-Pin is selected, Elf's Short Course is the only playable course on the minigame.
