Bounce | A Critical Bounce Hit causes the target to fly away in a random direction and number of cells. The effected target will also bounce off walls and can incur additional damage from being knocked out of bounds. | Rabbid Kong is Immune to Bounce. Icicle Golem is Immune to Bounce. |
Push | A Critical Push Hit causes causes the target to roll away in a random direction and number of cells. The effected target will also bounce off walls and inflict the Push effect upon collision with other targets for the duration of their rolling animation. | |
Ink | A Critical Ink Hit prevents the target from using their weapon. The effect can be negated by performing Team Jump. | |
Freeze | A Critical Freeze Hit prevents the target from activating their technique. The effect wears out after 1 turn. | |
Stone | A Critical Stone Hit prevents the target from moving, using the weapon and activating technique, essentially a combination of Honey, Ink and Freeze effect. | |
Burn | A Critical Burn Hit causes the target to catch fire and run amok, moving involuntarily from their original spot in a random direction and number of cells. The effect can be spread to other targets if they are grouped together or close by. | |

- The Hell in a Shell, Bowser Basher, and Bowserbeak weapons are based on the design of Bowser.
- Similarly, the Mega Bite and Bowsertail Jr. weapons are based on the design of the game's main antagonist, Bowser Jr.
- Unlike Bowser himself, who has four digits on his claws, the Bowser Basher weapon's fists have five digits.
- The Yellow Submarine weapon's design, name, and even the description are all references to a famous song by The Beatles.
- The Matter Splatter weapon shares the same name as a galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy.
- The Teeth of Tanooki weapon is based on the design of Tanooki Mario from Super Mario 3D Land onward.
- The Fat Cat, No Pity Kitty, and Jade Jaguar weapons are based on the cat forms of Mario, Toad, and Luigi, respectively.
- The Barrel Blaster weapon shares the same name as Donkey Kong's vehicle from Skylanders: SuperChargers.
- The Hog Wild weapon has two Coins, one on the left and one on the right.
- The Spike Strike weapon is based on a Spike, as well as a Spike Bar from Super Mario 3D World.
- Strangely, the description for it and the Big Spike mistakenly refer to them as Skewers, despite the design of both being closer to Spike Bars.
- The HMS Let's-A-Go weapon is named after the signature catchphrase of Mario and Luigi: Let's-a go!
- The Luigi's Longshot weapon is based on the design of Luigi, the character that can use said weapon.
- The Plumber's Helper and Mallardio weapons are based on the design of Mario.
- The Splatformer weapon is decorated with sprites from Super Mario Bros.
- It also references the Minus World, a glitch in that game.
- The Mushroom Marauder weapon is based on the design of a Super Mushroom.
- It also shares its name with one of Toad's cousins from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode, Tag Team Trouble.
- The Slam-Held weapon has similar and buttons as the Game Boy.
- The Burning Question weapon features ? Blocks using their original sprites from Super Mario Bros.
- The ASCII code in the description of the ASCII Eradicator weapon spells "DORK."
- The Gemcutter's description references Jem and the Holograms, specifically its intro theme.
- The Hammer Time weapon is named after one of the lyrics to M.C. Hammer's song, U Can't Touch This.
- The Barrel Bonker weapon's description references Donkey Kong.
- The Thunderbolt weapon is based on Mjölnir, the signature hammer of the Norse god of thunder, Thor.
- The Killer Extinct weapon's design and description are based on the film, Jurassic Park.
- The Master Control weapon's name is based on the main antagonist of the film, Tron.
- The Louis Harmstrong weapon is named after musician Louis Armstrong.
- The description references the first few lyrics of his song, What A Wonderful World.
- The Duckess weapon is based on the design of Princess Peach, who starts out with this weapon.
- The King weapon's name and design are based on musician Elvis Presley.
- The Kamek Panic weapon is based on the design of Kamek, or Magikoopas in general.
- The Gobblegoose weapon is based on the design of Gobblegut, a boss from Super Mario Galaxy 2.
- The Sam Kingfisher weapon is named after the protagonist, Sam Fisher, from another Ubisoft game, Splinter Cell.
- The Disco Duck weapon is named after the song, Disco Duck by Rick Dees
- The description also references both Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees and Super Freak by Rick James.
- The Bat Out Of Heck is a reference to the Meat Loaf song and album Bat Out of Hell.
