The Rabbids, as seen in the opening introduction in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Rabbids are a species of hyperactive anthropomorphic rabbits originating from Ubisoft's Rayman franchise. Their name is a pun on "rabid", a term used to describe an animal with rabies, or a person who acts insane. Following their popularity, the Rabbids would go on to spawn their own series of titles, separate from Rayman, titled the Rabbids series. While originally designed to be enemies, their roles have become more of protagonists.

Their only crossover appearance with the Mario franchise is with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, where five different Rabbids are playable.
