Iggy's Volcanic Castle, or Soda Jungle-Castle, is the castle of Soda Jungle, in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked by completing either Seesaw Bridge or Wiggler Stampede, and its own completion unlocks Fuzzy Clifftop in the Rock Candy Mines. It is filled with Dry Bones and lava. This is the only level in the game where the lava creates waves, a concept reused from World 8-3 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Layout[edit]

Mario and Luigi battling Iggy Koopa.

The level begins on a platform above waves of lava. A section of the ground that moves up and down is found, along with a Dry Bones and a ? Block containing a power-up. Some pits of lava are found in between moving platforms, and more Dry Bones are found. Another ? Block containing a power-up is found, and is followed by a row of Dry Bones with a Big Dry Bones at the end. More moving platforms are found, leading to a stationary platform with the Checkpoint Flag on it. More platforms that raise up and down are found, along with a Red Ring. Dry Bones and Big Dry Bones are also encountered. A section of moving platforms with Lava Bubbles in between them is found leading up to the boss door.

The boss door leads to a cannon. After being launched out of the cannon, the player proceeds to fight Iggy Koopa. During the battle, Iggy uses Warp Pipes to travel around the room, and he is able to run on the ceiling. He uses his wand to not only shoot green fireballs, but red skeleton orbs as well. These orbs will spawn Magmaarghs as soon as they touch the lava. After being jumped on three times, Iggy is defeated.
