Donkey Kong Jungle Beat levels

VS. Torch Tusk is the boss level of the Peach Kingdom in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and the Melon Kingdom in New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, as well as the tenth boss level in the original Nintendo GameCube version and the eleventh main boss level in the enhanced New Play Control! port for the Wii. It takes place in a volcanic. This level's objective is to defeat Torch Tusk.

Level layoutEdit

In this level, Torch Tusk has 500 health points, and a river of lava separates it from the landmass that Donkey Kong is on. It attacks by firing three cannonballs out of its trunk in different directions, trying to suck Donkey Kong into it, and firing a laser, the latter one behaving the same as Grave Tusk's behavior in the second phase of VS. Grave Tusk; unlike in VS. Grave Tusk, however, Torch Tusk aims at Donkey Kong to use its laser attack more accurately, prompting him to throw a Blood Pine directly into its trunk and throw them on its body, the latter that does a lot less damage. If Donkey Kong can stuns Torch Tusk by grabbing a Blood Pine and throwing it at its trunk, it will suck it in and explode inside its body, causing it to release more Blood Pines while briefly exposing its heart. Donkey Kong can damage Torch Tusk further by throwing Blood Pines at its heart, where they stick into until they explode.

After losing at least two fifths of its health, Torch Tusk will begin the second (and final) phase. Here, it will fire cannonballs covered in flames, causing the platform that it lands on to be lit entirely ablaze temporarily. If Donkey Kong throws enough Blood Pines at Torch Tusk, it will break down, fall apart, and be defeated, and he will earn one to four crests in the original Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and one to three in the enhanced New Play Control! port for the Wii.
