After obtaining the first Wishstone piece in the [[S.S. Caviar#Episode 2: The Purple Wind Stinks Up the Ship!|previous episode]], Wario comes to the Smithsnorian Museum in search of clues to the other pieces' whereabouts, despite his dislike of museums. Shortly after sneaking in, he finds a locked door, which he tries to open by ramming it, but fails. Goodstyle tells him to stop making so much noise so that he doesn't alert the guards. He informs Wario that the door is electronically locked and that he needs to hit a switch to open it. Goodstyle also notes the exhibits in the room, which become important later. There are other exhibits in the museum that Goodstyle can examine as well, which are also important.

Wario finds the hidden switch, allowing him to access the room beyond the door, where he meets the [[Sphinx (character)|Sphinx]]. Goodstyle asks him about the Wishstone, but the Sphinx will only talk if Wario brings him the Pharaoh's three treasures. The Sphinx also tells Wario that in order to get to the treasures, he must solve [[Sphinx Simulator|riddles]]. This is the significance of the exhibits in the museum; they are the answers to the riddles. Wario finds the three treasures and, on the way, acquires two new disguises: [[Sparky Wario]] and [[Captain Wario]].
