The title of this article is from the English Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia which reportedly sourced some names from fan wikis. If a higher-priority source is found, then the current reference should be removed and the title moved to the higher-priority name, if applicable.

Bone Lifts[1] are bony platforms with skulls at the ends of them that appear in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Nine serve as platforms over lava in Mario's castle, after the room with the Skull Platforms and before Karamenbo. Once jumped on, they rise toward the ceiling spikes, so the player must jump off them immediately. They essentially act as the opposite of the Flimsy Lift, and they stop when Mario is off them. They appear in sets of three.
