A category of subjects based on fish in the Super Mario franchise. This includes sharks, rays, ray-finned fishes (a very large group that includes most animals called fish, including eels, catfish, goldfish, clownfish, piranhas, flounders, sea horses, anglerfish, and pufferfish), coelacanths, and similar animals. The animals currently understood to be "true" fish are not closely related to each other. For example, a goldfish is more closely related to a human than it is to a great white shark. However, the current use of the word "fish" encompasses backboned animals that did not evolve from a terrestrial ancestor.
