This is the script of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. At several points, narration references the player's chosen character by name; this is represented here with "[character]".

Opening

The game begins with the player's character entering from the left. A short introductory narration then appears:

"Welcome to the Flower Kingdom! It's just a short hop away from the Mushroom Kingdom."
"Upon receiving an invitation from Prince Florian, [character] and the others are traveling here for the first time!"

In the introductory area, the player's character passes by the other playable characters, as well as several Talking Flowers.

"Hey there!"
"Where's the party?"
"Oooh! So exciting!"
"So many visitors today."
"Have a great time!"

Prince Florian:

"Was that King B-Bowser? How could he steal our Wonder Flower... and our Flower Castle too?!"
"I can't believe he merged with our beautiful castle like that. It... It's just so awful!"
"Bowser will make a terrible mess of our whole kingdom if we don't stop him somehow..."

"You'll help us? Thank you!"
"I'd like to be your guide, if you don't mind. Let me just..."

Pipe-Rock Plateau

Captain Toad encounter #1

If the player finds the secret exit of Piranha Plants on Parade, they can take a Warp Pipe to the top of Deep Magma Bog and find Captain Toad there.

"So much smoke..."

"Quite the surprising place to run into someone, huh?"
"Nice to meet ya! This...IS our first time meeting, right? Or maybe you already know who I am!" (I bet this line is said at whichever place you encounter first)
"I heard there was treasure somewhere around this place, and next thing I knew, here I was!"
"Do you think anyone lives on those isles over there? And what's with all the smoke?"
"Also! I found 50 flower coins."
"They're all yours! Should be helpful out in the world. See ya around!"

The player receives the 50 flower coins.

After clearing Scram, Skedaddlers!

"Ohhh ho ho ho... Isn't this fun!"
"The Flower Castle is me, and I'm the Flower Castle! Soooo much Wonder power!"
"I can feel myself getting stronger...and stronger...AND STRONGER. Soon, everything will be mine!"
"Gwahahaha!"

"That no-good Bowser! I won't stand for his antics!"
"We've got to get to him somehow!"

"Ah! Let's use that Propeller Flower up ahead to catch up!"

After taking the Propeller Flower

The scene opens on Castle Bowser laughing. He flies across the savanna area, transforming the level dioramas to their uncompleted states and creating Wonder Piranhas as he passes by. When he transforms Pipe-Rock Plateau Palace, Bowser Jr. appears.

Bowser Jr.
"Aw yeeeah! My dad's a CASTLE now!"
"Nobody's gonna be able to stop him now that he's all-powerful! Heh heh!"

Bowser Jr. jumps into the palace. The camera pans back to the beginning of the area, where the player's character arrives via Propeller Flower. Prince Florian jumps out, and the camera pans to center the Wonder Piranha coiled around the Badge House.

Prince Florian
"This is getting worse and worse! And look at the plant coiled around that house over there!"
"Hey, I've got it! Let's try using our Wonder Seeds!"
"I bet that will fix this. They're really powerful!"

The cutscene ends, leaving the player to use the Wonder Seeds to destroy the Wonder Piranha.

Badge House in Pipe-Rock Plateau

The player's character and Prince Florian enter the Badge House, finding a scared Poplin with a treasure chest.

Prince Florian
"Is everything all right in here?"
Poplin
"I was so scared! I thought I'd wilt on the spot. But I'm glad I was here to keep this badge safe."
Prince Florian
"Oh, yeah, badges! They have lots of different effects."
"People who travel through the Flower Kingdom like using them."
Poplin
"Um, Prince Florian, if I could be so bold...would you accept this gift from me?"
"I'm sure someone as princely as you will know how to use it best!"

The Parachute Cap badge comes out of the chest, and Florian equips it.

Prince Florian
"Oh, thank you! I've always wanted to wear one of these."
"I can use the power of this badge to help everyone!"

The bud on the Poplin's head blooms.

Poplin
"That brings a bloom to my heart, Prince Florian! I'm happy that you're pleased!"
"Badges will take some trouble out of your travels."

The player character waves goodbye. The camera zooms out when the cutscene ends, revealing a Talking Flower by the exit to the training ground.

Talking Flower
"This way!"

First open area

Prince Florian jumps out and hops happily.

Prince Florian
"Oh, look at this place! There's so much to see, but..."

The camera pans over to Wiggler Race Mountaineering! and the Wonder Piranha surrounding it.

"There's another one of those icky plants! We're going to need more Wonder Seeds..."

The camera moves to a wide shot of the open area.

"So, where do you think we should head first?"

A picture of the game's map screen appears.

"If you want to have a look at the map, just press !"

Poplin Shop

Ambient speech bubble:

Poplin Shop
"Welcome!"

Talked to:

"Hi there! Here at the Poplin Shop, we sell everything! And we accept flower coins as payment."

The view of the world map contracts to a circle to transition to the shop screen.

Badge question:

"Do you want to try using a different badge?"
Choices
"Yes, please!"
"No, thanks."

"Come back again sometime!"

Rock-breaking Poplin

Ambient:

Poplin
"This rock fell here!"

Interaction:

"Oh, it's terrible! This rock fell here because of that awful Bowser!"
"I'd smash it if I could, but it's just so huge..."
"If only I had 10 flower coins... They give us Poplins an energy boost."
Choices
"Here you go!" (with an icon of 10 flower coins)
"Maybe later..."

Giving the coins:

The Poplin blooms.

Poplin
"Thank you! Now I've got some oomph in my bloom!"
"I'll break this rock in no time!"
"Hey, rock! Stop blocking our path!"

The Poplin attacks the rock, creating a cloud of dust and ultimately destroying it.

"I broke the rock with that bloom of oomph you gave me! Please, go through!"

Ambient with rock broken:

"Head through!"

I have good guesses about these lines but I haven't seen them in context yet:

"Hm, I think I need more flower coins to be back at full strength. Sorry..."
"I really need a boost of energy..."

Captain Toad encounter #2

Ambient:

What a view!

Interaction:

Quite the surprising place to run into someone, huh?

I was busy exploring—searching for treasure—and next thing I knew, I got caught in a blizzard...
I didn't find much treasure, but the view sure is pretty, huh?
Oh, right! During that blizzard, 50 flower coins came flying right at me!
I hope they'll help you out there on your own adventure!

After clearing Wiggler Race Mountaineering!

Prince Florian
"We did it! We won a Wiggler Race—a Flower Kingdom specialty!"
"Wiggler was nice enough to give us an Auto Super Mushroom Badge to celebrate your victory!"
"It's a really great badge. It triggers the effects of a Super Mushroom when you start a course."
"Want me to wear it?"
Choices
"Sure!"
"Maybe later."

there also some other stuff, including some kinda hilarious dialogue for Wiggler taking pity on you

Seeing the palace

Prince Florian
"Oh no! They've even managed to take over the palace here!"
"There's a special treasure kept there that's known as a Royal Seed."
"We've got to do something before they use it for some evil purpose!"

Captain Toad encounter #3

Lost? Me?

Interaction:

Quite the surprising place to run into someone, huh?

I was searching for treasure, and then I started wondering...
Is anyone searching for...me? I'm completely lost.
Anyway, where are we? Do you know?
Oh! I almost forgot! I found 50 flower coins.
Maybe you can make use of them on your adventure. I'm rooting for ya!

Pipe-Rock Plateau Palace

Entrance

On the course's loading screen, Florian gives a reminder:

Prince Florian: "Let's take back the palace! And don't forget that you can press if you want to change the badge we're using, OK?"

At the entrance of the palace, a Talking Flower looks at the dark plant growths.

Talking Flower: "Ew..."
"What am I looking at?"

Bowser Jr.

Bowser Jr. talks to the player character before fighting them. The beginning of the dialogue differs based on whether the player is using the Invisibility badge. Normally it is:

Bowser Jr.: "What, you think you're gonna stop me? Hehe... OK, then. I'll play with you."

But if the player is invisible:

Bowser Jr.: "Huh? Who's there!"
"Ohhhh, you wanna play hide-and-seek, don't ya? Hehe... All right. I'll play with you!"

The dialogue after this does not change:

"This palace is super mega loaded with Dad's Wonder power."
"No way you're gonna beat me! But it's gonna be fun to see you try."

The battle begins without further ado.

Clearing the world

Narration
And so, [character]'s party reclaimed the palace.
With a Royal Seed safely in hand, they set off in pursuit of Bowser, who has somehow turned into a castle!
Can they stop Bowser before he pulls off whatever he is planning?

Heading to Petal Isles

Prince Florian
The Petal Isles are just ahead. This beautiful place is the heart of our Flower Kingdom.
Now, let's try to catch up with Bowser!

Petal Isles, first section

First entry

Prince Florian
I'm sure that Bowser must be around here...
Whoa! Is that—

Pan to Castle Bowser in the center of the Petal Isles, circled by his six Cloud Piranhas.

Castle Bowser
Heh heh heh... No one can even get close as long as my Cloud Piranhas are here.
Which means I can focus on gathering up aaaall the Wonder power!
Once I've got enough to pull off a big Wonder, the world will be mine!
Gwahahaha!

Pan back to the heroes.

Prince Florian
This is just awful! Isn't there some way we can stop him?

The Royal Seed from the palace pops out of the player's character.

Oh! What's this?!

The Royal Seed floats floats over to Bowser and sucks one of the Cloud Piranhas into itself, before floating off.

Castle Bowser
What?! Where'd that Cloud Piranha go? What have you done!

The Royal Seed returns to the player character.

Prince Florian
So much power... All from just one Royal Seed!
Of course! That's our answer!
I have a request that's almost too much to ask of you... Will you please help me find more Royal Seeds?
They're among our most prized treasures, and I believe we can use them to save the Flower Kingdom!
The Royal Seeds will get rid of the Cloud Piranhas that are swirling around Bowser.
And if we get rid of all of them, we'll be able to reach him!

The player character jumps affirmatively.

Hooray! Thank you!

A map of the Petal Isles appears, with the gate to Fluff-Puff Peaks highlighted.

Well then, let's make our way up to Fluff-Puff Peaks, north of here.
There's a Royal Seed at the palace way up at the top!

The player character and Florian do poses. The camera pans to show the path to Angler Poplin's House appearing.

Angler Poplin's House

Angler Poplin: "Ugh. All the fish have been scared off by that guy. I can't get any fishing done with him around..."
Prince Florian: "Oh, this is awful. We have to help."
"Don't worry! We'll do everything we can to stop Bowser. Once he's beaten, I bet the fish will come back!"
Angler Poplin: "Really? You think that'll work?"

The Angler Poplin blooms.

"Ooh, that's put the bloom back into my day!"
"I know what I can do to help! Take this Wonder Seed. I reeled it in a long time ago."
"Wonder Seeds are so pretty, and every world's seeds have their own color!"
Talking Flower: "All for you!"

The Wonder Seed is released from a chest, and the player character and Florian celebrate. The game returns to the world map.

After Robbird Cove

Prince Florian: "Yikes! Th-that was scary... I usually stay away from birds!"
"After all that, I could use a break. A little shopping might be nice."
"I've heard that the Poplin Shop here sells a helpful ! Block badge."
"And remember that if you want to swap out your badge, just press to see what you've got."

Poplin Shop

Ambient speech bubble:

"Check it out!"

Talked to:

Poplin Shop: "Hi there! Here at the Poplin Shop, we sell everything! Our special ! Block item is super popular."

The view of the world map contracts to a circle to transition to the shop screen.

Fluff-Puff Peaks

First entry

The scene opens on Bowser Jr. in front of Fluff-Puff Peaks Palace.

Bowser Jr.: "Heh heh! I've got this view allllll to myself."

Bowser Jr. jumps into the palace. The camera slowly pans back to show an establishing shot of the entire area. A banner showing "W2 Fluff-Puff Peaks" appears.

The view zooms back in to show the heroes at the world's entrance.

Prince Florian: "OK! We've arrived at Fluff-Puff Peaks! There should be a Royal Seed at the summit."

A map of Fluff-Puff Peaks appears.

"Brrr! This is gonna be a rough trip for me. I get cold pretty easily..."
"Oh, don't forget you can orient to your surroundings by pressing and having a look at the map. All right, let's go!"

Fluff-Puff Peaks Cabin

Prince Florian: "It's so c-c-cold here..."
Poplin: "Hello, Prince!"
"I welcome you to Fluff-Puff Peaks, where climbers dare the heights of our tranquil mountain."
"The summit is pure bliss, especially if you yodel up there. There's no better echo!"
"But a scamp in a silly mask is up at the summit right now... It's not safe for anyone to go climbing anymore."
"I'll give you a Wonder Seed to help... Take back our beautiful mountain, please. Pretty please?"
Prince Florian: "I won't stand for this—of course we'll help!"
"I bet Bowser Jr. is behind this whole mess—no doubt about it."
"Let's climb to the summit and kick him off the mountain. We'll reclaim the Royal Seed up there too!"
Talking Flower: "Pretty please!"

The Wonder Seed is released from a chest, and the player character and Florian celebrate. The game returns to the world map.

First mountain-climbing Poplin

Poplin: "Grrrr!"

"I wanted to climb higher, but now I can't, thanks to the mess that masked-up scamp made!"

"Whoops! I should save my yodeling voice for the summit."

"Maybe I should give up on reaching the top..."

Poplin: "You did it!"

"The sight of our mountain going back to normal puts a bloom in my step!"
"I'm going to rest up a bit before heading to the summit!"

Prince Florian: "Th-that was the scariest thing yet! I reeeeeally don't like heights!"
"Oh, that reminds me..."
"I heard there's a badge that helps you survive a fall. It's sold on this mountain somewhere!"
"If you do get a new badge, press to see what you've got—from there you can swap badges."

Third mountain-climbing Poplin

Ambient:

Poplin: "Amazing!"

Interaction:

Poplin: "That was absolutely AMAZING! You took out that flying ship like it was nothing at all!"
"If you got all the way here, I bet you can take care of the masked meanie, no problem!"
"The summit is just up ahead!" (The camera pans up to the palace before this line, and returns after it.)
"I'll be cheering for you!"
"And we'll all yodel together at the summit once it's safe for us to go up there!"

Poplin Shop #2

Fluff-Puff Peaks Palace

Entrance

On the course's loading screen, Florian gives a reminder:

Prince Florian: "Come on, let's take back this mountain together! Press if you want to change the badge we're using!"

There is a single Talking Flower at the start of the course:

Talking Flower: "This place is intense..."

Bowser Jr.

Normally, Bowser Jr. says this before battle:

Bowser Jr.: "Hey, it's you!"
"You climbed all the way up to the summit just to play with me, huh?"
"Well, if you wanna play THAT bad, I guess we can."
"I'm gonna do some wild stuff with Wonder power, so you should be extra scared!"

But if the player is using the Invisibility badge:

Bowser Jr.: "Mmm, I'm all snacked up, so it's time for a little nap..."
"Huh? It feels like somebody's watching me..." (There are slight pauses between the last three words.)
"Probably that prince and his friend. They just never go away..."
"Well, I'm not gonna let you bug Dad!"

End of Fluff-Puff Peaks

Narration: "With the Royal Seed from Fluff-Puff Peaks in hand, [character]'s party continues their journey."
"But the road ahead is filled with even more dangers, and [character]'s quest is starting to get much more difficult!"
"Will they overcome what awaits them? How well they use the badges they find will make all the difference."

Talking Flower: "Yodelayheehooooo!"

Prince Florian: "Now, let's use a Propeller Flower to head back to the Petal Isles!"
"The wind up here is pretty strong, so hold on tight!"

Petal Isles, second section

Using the second Royal Seed

Returning to the Petal Isles from Fluff-Puff Peaks, the heroes are ready to use their second Royal Seed.

Prince Florian: "All right, Royal Seed..."
"Go ahead! Get rid of one of the Cloud Piranhas protecting Bowser!"

The Royal Seed goes to Castle Bowser and sucks in one of the Cloud Piranhas, before returning to the player character

Prince Florian: "Hooray! It worked!"
"Thank you so much! Now, let's keep at it. So, where next..."
"Oh, I know! Shining Falls! I'm sure there's a Royal Seed at the top of those waterfalls!"
"Let's start by heading east, toward Shining Falls!"

The path to the next isle reveals itself.

After Wiggler Race Swimming!

Prince Florian: "We did it! We beat Wiggler, and we got a Wonder Seed too!"
"I can't believe how fast Wiggler is, even in the water."
"Wiggler doesn't mess around!"

(Again, still gotta do the losing dialogue)

Shining Falls

First entry

The scene opens on the top of Shining Falls, where Royal Seed Mansion is. Master Poplin appears in front of the building in a puff of smoke.

Master Poplin: "Oh? I see that we have some visitors. I must go greet them..."
"POOF!"

Master Poplin vanishes in another puff of smoke. The camera pans across the world to its entrance, where the player character enters. A banner showing "W3 Shining Falls" appears.

The view zooms back in to show the heroes at the world's entrance.

Prince Florian: "We've reached Shining Falls!"

A map of Shining Falls appears.

"I think I remember hearing that there's a Royal Seed at the top of these waterfalls."
"If you get turned around, you can check your map with !"

Master Poplin's House

Master Poplin: "Oh, it's you, Prince! All right then! I welcome you to Shining Falls..."
"where our waterfalls offer a cascade of trials."
"Are you ready to take on a variety of tests that will challenge you to the fullest?"
"Then set your sights on the very top of these waterfalls. There you will find the Royal Seed!"
Prince Florian: "Uh, w-wait! Could I just skip the trials and take the Royal Seed, please?"
Master Poplin: "Ha ha! Sorry, rules are rules, even for our prince!"
"Only those who overcome the trials can claim the Royal Seed."
"I will give you something to help you along the way and will await you farther up these falls. With that..."
"POOF!"

Master Poplin disappears.

Talking Flower: "I believe in you!"

The heroes receive a Wonder Seed from the chest.

After Master Poplin's House

Prince Florian: "It looks like we're going to have to pass all these trials and reach the top..."
"Let's be sure to pick out the best badge for the job, OK?"
"Of course, if you ever think we need to change badges, just call me with !"

Poplin Shop

Ambient:

Poplin Shop: "Trials ahead..."

Interaction:

Poplin Shop: "Looking to tackle some tricky trials? Lucky you came to the Poplin Shop, where we sell everything!"
