Mihari Musha are enemies in Princess Peach: Showtime!, and are members of the Sour Bunch. They are burly guards in indigo Japanese armor, which appear in the stealth scenes of the Ninja plays Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids, Ninjutsu: The Art of Flames, and The Dark Ninja & the Legion of Guards. The most common of the Mihari Musha are those carrying a purple lantern, which they use to shine a purple light. Ninja Peach must avoid getting caught in these lights, either by using a wall or shrubbery disguise, or by taking a detour. If a Mihari Musha notices her, they blow a conch as she automatically performs the kawarimi technique and retreats further back in the level. Mihari Musha can be defeated with a slice attack behind them.
The play Ninjutsu: The Art of Flames introduces a different type of Mihari Musha that wields a spear instead of a lantern. In that play, these Mihari Musha are placed in areas which Ninja Peach can cross from the lofts above, but these lofts include naruko bird scarers, set up like a security system; if Peach walks through these, the Mihari Musha will be alarmed by the naruko's clanging, and rushes below them to stab their spear through the ceiling. If they detect Peach with their spear, Peach is forced to retreat in the same way. Much like the lantern-wielding Mihari Musha, Peach can defeat them with a slice attack behind them. Six spear-wielding Mihari Musha also appear near the end of the stealth section in The Dark Ninja & the Legion of Guards in a surprise ambush. The Ninja Sparkla uses a smoke bomb technique to blind-sight them, allowing Peach to defeat them, and the both of them to escape afterwards.
A red Mihari Musha appears near the end of Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids, guarding the Scholar Theet; his behavior appears to be identical to the regular lantern-wielding Mihari Musha, but in addition to the red armor, he also carries a purple sack. When Peach defeats him and frees the Scholar, the defeated remains are replaced with a kawarimi log with a Dūke mask, as it's revealed this Mihari Musha is actually a red Ninja Dūke, who then makes off with scrolls that belong to the Ninja Theets.
The red Mihari Musha returns in The Dark Ninja & the Legion of Guards, this time wielding a spear and guarding the captured Ninja Sparkla. After Peach defeats him, frees the Ninja Sparkla and escapes with him, the red-armor remains get replaced with a purple-glowing kawarimi log with the Dūke mask, implying that this Mihari Musha was the disguise of the Dark Ninja encountered later in the play.
