Detective Peach is one of the many transformations of Princess Peach in Princess Peach: Showtime! With this form, Peach wears a suit and deerstalker hat that serves as a reference to Sherlock Holmes in many depictions of him and carries a magnifying glass right-handed, which she uses to investigate clues such as footprints and find out the culprit behind a museum burglary.
Detective Peach also appears in the background of the Princess Peach: Showtime! theme in Tetris 99, which was released during the 39th Maximus Cup.
Abilities[edit]
In this form, Peach gains the ability to investigate clues and get the testimonies of locals: by holding 
, she can investigate her surroundings through her magnifying glass: though she cannot jump in this state, it allows her to uncover hidden markings that were previously invisible, like footprints or construction plans. When she discovers interesting, the player can also hold while Peach is investigating the object to perform a "Strike of Intuition". If the assumption is correct, Peach will smugly smile while the case proceeds, otherwise Peach will sulk in disappointment and take a heart of damage. The Strike of Intuition can also be used on nearby Theets, which is mainly used to uncover disguised Sour Bunch minions.
