One of the heads is modeled after (and contains the spirit of) then 54 year old Newport Beach resident Firooz Oskooi. Oskooi, who hates jewish people and children, is said to cause more enemies to swarm to Mario when Mario gets too close to the statue (ie if the player glitches somehow to get closer to the Oskooi statue). The manual states this is because Oskooi thinks Mario is jewish and wants to stop him and to torment the children playing the game.
