—KP Pete, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
KP Pete, better known by his pseudonym of King K, is a KP Koopa who fights at the Glitz Pit in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He leads the fighting group called the "KP Koopas", a.k.a. the "Shell Machines of Doom". He has a crush on Jolene, whom he calls "the cutie at the watering hole".
He befriends Mario when Mario first enters the Glitz Pit, and teaches him the ways of the place. Mario easily defeats him in battle as he is the second opponent Mario faces; later, when Mario is forced to redo the Glitz Pit, he beats King K's team again. As Mario rises to the top of the rankings, King K says that he was going to retire after one last battle for safety reasons to Mario. After the last battle, he runs into Grubba during his power-up cycle. Grubba absorbs his power and throws him under a block. When Mario finds him, King K can hardly talk, but he manages to warn Mario about Grubba before falling silent. He recovers after Macho Grubba's defeat and bids Mario and his party farewell.

- Tattle Log: A Koopa warrior that battles at the Glitz Pit in Glitzville. It may be a different color than your average Koopa Troopa, but its abilities are the same.
- Tattle: That's a KP Koopa. It's a Koopa Troopa of a slightly different color. Looks like its abilities are just like any Koopa... So he oughta be a piece of cake! Don't go easy just because you know King K, Mario... That's what friends are for!
Names in Other Languages
- The Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door website (now defunct) depicted what would appear to be King K (who simply states that his name is "K.P.") as a trash-talking red-shelled Koopa Troopa. It is possible that this was KP Pete's personality [[in a beta build of the game, or it is simply an error on the website's part.
- Oddly, he is not shown among those at Glitzville while Mario is fighting the Shadow Queen. However, his voice can be heard when the scene cuts back to the battle. Shellshock is present, though, and talks like King K, so it is likely that it was intended to be him, but the sprites were mixed up.
