Dark Paratroopas are purple Paratroopas that live in the Pit of 100 Trials, in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Basically, they are Dark Koopas with wings. They have the same attacks as regular Paratroopas, but they deal more damage. Jumping on a Dark Paratroopa causes it to lose its wings and become a Dark Koopa.

Dark Paratroopas can also be found in Super Paper Mario, in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. In this game, they are black and featureless shadows of Paratroopas. It is thought that shadoo the monster a the bottom of the same pit created it with it's power to clone anyone.

[edit] Paper Mario Stats and Tattle Information

Dark Paratroopas were originally going to be in the original Paper Mario, but were removed from the game. However, their coding was not, and this includes a complete Goombario Tattle, which means the stats are intact as well.

  • HP: 8
  • Attack: 3
  • Defense: 2
  • Location: Toad Town Tunnels
  • Tattle: "This is a D. Paratroopa. D. Paratroopas are Paratroopas who live in the Toad Town Tunnels. Hammer attacks won't work because they're airborne. They'll lose their wings if you jump on 'em. They'll become Dark Koopas when they fall, but be careful! They'll do a dizzy attack once they're grounded."
