Twila, Mario Party 6

Twila is a character in Mario Party 6. She is the literal moon who revolves around the world with Brighton, the sun. According to the game's intro, they also host the parties set up by Mario and his friends. Twila's name is a pun on "twilight," owing to her connection with the moon. After Brighton asks her whether he is more impressive than she is, the two of them start to argue. The discord motivates Mario and company to fill the Star Bank with as many Stars as possible in the hopes of ending their fight. The Stars in the bank can be used to purchase pages from the Miracle Book, and once all pages in the Miracle Book are bought, Brighton and Twila see how much work everyone has done to fill the Star Bank. They both make up and promise to get along. As an award for everyone's hard work, Brighton and Twila scatter the Stars across the sky, being seen miles away.

During gameplay, Twila controls the board for three turns, turning it from day to night, and switches off with Brighton after the three turns are up. She also changes in some courses how much Stars are worth, and sometimes she makes new passages open. Twila also hosts Mini-game Mode, Options Mode, and the quiz game Speak Up.

Twila, as well as Brighton, made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a sticker that can be collected. Her sticker can be used by any character, and it reduces dizzy time by 46.

In German versions of Mario Party 6, Brighton is female and Twila is male because the former has feminine pronouns and the latter has masculine pronouns in the German language. In the Japanese version, Brighton and Twila have voice clips.
