Punch-a-Bunch is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 8.

Introduction[edit]

The first player walks across a bridge, when a Bowser Statue suddenly falls in front of them. The screen divides into four sections, and there is a boxing glove for each screen.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective is to break the statue first, similar to the objective of Destruction Duet from Mario Party 2. The player holds the Wii Remote sideways and thrusts it forward to punch. As time goes by, the glove swells up, but if the player waits too long, it goes back down. When the player punches when the glove is swollen up, it is more powerful, resulting in the statue breaking in fewer punches. The player to break the statue first is the winner.

Ending[edit]

The statue explodes, and the winning player walks on the bridge, stops in the middle to celebrate, and continues walking across the bridge into the woods.

Controls[edit]

  • Wii Remote: Punch
  • Buttons: None

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Punch the statue to pieces! Throw a punch when the glove swells up to do the most damage."
  • Hint"Don't just punch a lot. It's better to punch only when the glove is largest."
