Scooter Pursuit is a 4-Player minigame that is found in Mario Party 8.

Introduction[edit]

The audience cheers as the players ride their scooters into the arena and move to their starting positions in the corners.

Gameplay[edit]

The players battle each other to score points by shooting balls at their opponents while avoiding being shot themselves. Each successful shot is worth one point; being hit leaves a player briefly stunned and unable to move or shoot for a few moments. The playfield is a square arena with a circular platform that serves to prevent players from shooting each other at the very beginning of the minigame. The player who has the most points after 30 seconds wins. If everyone has the same score that is more than one, everyone wins. If nobody has any points, a tie occurs.

Ending[edit]

The audience cheers wildly for winning players as they do their winning poses, while losing players do their losing poses behind them. If nobody has any points, all characters do their losing animations.
