Power Trip is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name is a reference to an action taken solely for the gratification of exerting control over others.
Introduction
The team players rise up on a platform with a few square holes on the edges. The solo player then comes flying in on a hovercraft with electricity running around the edges. It goes to the center, then below the platform becomes an electric barrier.
Gameplay
The objective for the solo player is to eliminate the other players, while the trio's objective is to survive until time runs out. The solo player's hovercraft is constantly moving forward, and it can be turned with the Wii Remote. The other three players use 
to move and 
to jump. A player is eliminated if they fall through a hole in the platform or are hit by the hovercraft. If all three team players are eliminated before time runs out, the solo player wins. If at least one team player survives, however, the trio wins.
Ending
