The Lunging Save is a Power Shot that appears in Mario Tennis: Power Tour for the Game Boy Advance. It it used by Skipper and Paula in the story mode, however, Clay and Ace may acquire it with L1 Jump. It is first seen and used earlier in the game, and may only be allowed for Clay and Ace if the Jump Gym is used. Once activated, the user will lunge at the ball by jumping toward it, then hitting it. It can get balls that are high up, however has very little vertical reach. It also has an upgraded version called the High-Jump Save, which is able to return higher and further shots.
