Songs

Ninja Man

In the episode, "Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas", Ninja Man plays as Mario, accidentally turned into Good Truthful Honest Giant Ninja Mario by King Koopa, fights the Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas.

You're a head-banded
Sweat-banded
Underhanded ninja man!
A tough talkin'
Fast walkin'
Koopa stalkin' ninja man!
A double quick hard to lick lunatic!
Ninja man we're gonna get you yet!

You're a head-banded
Sweat-banded
Underhanded ninja man!
A tough talkin'
Fast walkin'
Ninja man!

The Frog

In the episode "Reptiles in the Rose Garden", Mario becomes Frog Mario to find the White House after King Koopa banishes it to the bottom of the Mushroom Sea. The Frog plays as Frog Mario is chased by a Blooper Nanny, and later a Jelectro.

Do the frog! (ribbit, ribbit)
Croak croak croak! (croak, croak, croak)
Do the frog! (ribbit, ribbit)
It's no joke! (croak, croak, croak)
When you think you're gonna sink (do the frog)
It's more easy than you think (do the frog)
You will look so green and slimy
And you've never been so grimy

Do the frog (ribbit, ribbit)
Croak, croak, croak (croak, croak, croak)
Do the frog (ribbit, ribbit)
It's no joke (it isn't no joke)
Do the frog
Do the frog (ribbit, ribbit)
Croak, croak, croak (croak, croak, croak)
Do the frog (ribbit, ribbit)
It's no joke

Wipe Out

In the episode "Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario", this song played as Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Toad escape from Castle Koopa with Prince Mushroomkhamen's mummy case. Wipe Out is an actual song by The Surfaris, and has since been edited out in later airings of the show.

Wipe out!

Slippin' and Slidin'

In the episode "The Beauty of Kootie", Mario's group sprays oil at the Koopa Troopas to ward them off as this song plays. Slippin' and Slidin' is an actual song by Little Richard, and has since been edited out in later airings of the show. However, the song cover can still be heard on the King Koopa Katastrophe DVD.

Slippin' and a slidin', peepin' and a hidin'
Been told a long time ago
Slippin' and a slidin', peepin' and a hidin'
Been told a long time ago
I've been told, baby, you've been told,
I won't be your fool no more!
Oh My Linda, she's a solid sender, you know you better surrender
Oh My Linda, she's a solid sender, you know you better surrender
Slippin' and a slidin', peepin' and a hidin'
I won't be your fool no more!!
Slippin' and a slidin', peepin' and a hidin'
I won't be your fool no more!

Great Balls of Fire

In the episode "Princess Toadstool for President", Mario and Luigi cross a fire pit dodging Hot Foots and Fire Snakes as this song plays. Great Balls of Fire is an actual song by Jerry Lee Lewis, and has since been edited out in later airings of the show.

You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Your kind of love drives a man insane
Hey, you broke my will
But what a thrill
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!
I laughed at love 'cause I thought it was funny
Haha ha
You came along and you moved me honey
Oh no
I've changed my mind, love is fine
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!
Kiss me baby, oohoohoohoohooh, ooh, it feels good
Hold me baby
Yow!
You let me love you like a lover should
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!

Without Gettin' Burned

Without Gettin' Burned is played in two episodes, "Never Koop a Koopa" and "Misadventures in Babysitting". In Never Koop a Koopa, a shorter version plays as Mario's group runs from two Fire Chomps that chase them throughout Castle Koopa. In Misadventures in Babysitting, a longer version plays after Kooky floods the Pipe Maze with lava.

Here's the lowdown on how to be hot!
Gimme an ear and you'll hear a lot!
Get down dirty,
Use your brain
To flush the enemy down the drain!

Ya gotta sizzle, dude!
If you're gonna learn how to keep cookin', dude,
Without (without, without)
Gettin' burned (Yes!)

Every dude's gotta understand
A brother in the bush is worth two in the hand
A way to put 'em in their place
Is to double cros 'em,
Face to face!

Ya gotta sizzle, dude!
Sizzle without gettin' burned!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

In the episode "Reign Storm", Princess Toadstool goes on vacation in Hawaii, where she meets a surfer named Cutter. As the two of them engage in various activies, this song plays. The song later plays when Toad and Princess Toadstool enter the castle to stop the crowning of King Koopa. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is an actual song by Cyndi Lauper, and has since been edited out in later airings of the show. However, the song cover can still be heard on the King Koopa Katastrophe DVD.

Parts of this song can also be heard in the live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Captain Lou Is Missing", in which Cyndi Lauper guest starred as herself.

Baby Face

It has been requested that this section be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: point out changes between the lyrics of both songs

In the episode "Toddler Terrors of Time Travel", a time travel mishap to stop the Mario Bros. from ever coming to the Mushroom Kingdom reverts King Koopa, Kooky, Mario, Luigi and Toad to babies as they travel back in time to Brooklyn. As babies, King Koopa and Kooky pursue Mario, Luigi and Toad through the streets to this song. Baby Face is an extremely altered version of the original song originally performed by Jan Garber, and has since been edited out in later airings of the show. However, the song cover can still be heard on the King Koopa Katastrophe DVD.

Baby chase!
Why did you send us on this baby chase?
They're searching everywhere and every place
Baby chase!
Wonder where he's hiding?
We know we've got to find him
Baby chase!
How could he disappear and leave without a trace?
But now we're on the track
We're gonna get him back,
And end this baby chase!

Baby chase!
How could he disappear and leave without a trace?
But now we're on the track
We're gonna get him back,
And end this baby chase!

Stomp My Name on the Walk of Fame

In the episode "Dadzilla", Big Mouth and Kootie Pie bring the movie monster Madzilla to life, and convince him that he is their real father so that they can run amok in Hollywood. Madzilla eventually brings the entire Hollywood Bowl to Big Mouth and Kootie Pie for them to perform their own concert, at which point they sing Stomp My Name on the Walk of Fame.

I'm gonna stomp my name on the Walk of Fame!
Wail on my guitar!
I'm gonna stomp my name on the Walk of Fame!
I'm gonna be a star!
I've got what it takes (yeah!)
With the right breaks
I'll stomp my name...
...On the Walk of Fame! (yeah)

Rock and roll's famous teen
Covered on every magazine
I can see my name in lights
Hollywood's gonna treat me right!
Wa, wa, Koopa Koo...

Burn Baby Burn

In the episode "Tag Team Trouble", Burn Baby Burn plays in the background of Mario and Luigi's workout montage as they prepare for the Mushroom Wrestling Federation's wrestling tournament. Note that the lines in red are not played during the episode, and can only be heard on the bonus disc of the Shout! Factory DVD set.

Stop, baby, stop!
Turn, baby, turn!
Keep on pumpin' iron,
Burn, baby, burn!
When there's no pain
You know there is no gain.
So burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!

Build it up, oh yeah!
Trim it down! (Down! Down!)
Be the coolest dude... around!

Take what's weak! (Yes!)
Make it strong! (Real strong!)
Get in shape,
It won't be long!

Stop, baby, stop!
Turn, baby, turn!
Keep on pumpin' iron,
Burn, baby, burn!
When there's no pain,
You know there is no gain.
So burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!
Burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!

Brotherly Love

In the episode "Oh, Brother!", Brotherly Love is played while Luigi swims through a flooded Pipe Maze in a Frog Suit to rescue Mario, who has been captured by King Koopa and Kooky, despite their recent fight.

I say yes,
You say no
I like rain,
You like snow!
It's one of the wonders life's made of
Folks call it brotherly love!

I feel happy,
You feel sad
I stay cool
When you get mad
It's one of the wonders life's made of
Folks call it brotherly love!
We call it brotherly love!

Chill Out

In the episode "Misadventure of Mighty Plumber", King Koopa and Mighty Plumber chase after Mario and Luigi through the flooded Pipe Maze while Chill Out plays.

Run down, runway doin' seventy-five
Freeze it with the rapid strive to survive
Burn it to be rescued from an enemy attack
Think you're gonna hit 'em but you don't look back!

Chill out!
Keep your cool!
Super Plumber is nobody's fool!
Chill out!
When the goin' gets tough!
Super Plumber knows his stuff!

Eye of the storm
Headin' our way!
Like it or not
I need it to stay!
Thundering down like fire and ice!
Watch where you walk
Cuz lightning strikes twice!

I'm a hurricane!
I'm a hurricane! (yes)
Nothin' can stop me,
I conquer with force!
Hittin' my target
And stayin' on course!
Coming on strong
Gatherin' speed
I do what I want
To get what I need!

I'm a hurricane!
I'm a hurricane! (yes)
Nothin' can stop me,
I conquer with force!
Hittin' my target
And stayin' on course!
Coming on strong
Gatherin' speed
I do what I want
To get what I need!

I'm a hurricane!
I'm a hurricane!

Everybody shake your scales!
Everybody do the Koopa!
Everybody wag your tails!

Once you start you can't stop! (No!)

She met a plumber
Who flipped her fins
And that's precisely how our story begins

Never kiss a mermaid
Cuz if you do
The mermaid's gonna wanna marry you!

Hey, now listen up here!
The mermaid only wanted to spend her life
Livin' underwater as the plumber's wife
The plumber swam away from the deep blue sea
Saying: "being with a mermaid isn't right for me!"

Never kiss a mermaid
Cuz if you do
The mermaid's gonna wanna marry you!
Never kiss a mermaid

The mermaid's gonna wanna marry you!

Twice as crooked!
Twice as shifty!
Two-time swindling!
Twice as nifty!

Lie, cheat and steal!
It's an underhanded trait!
But once you get the upper hand
Dude, you've got it made!

Double crossing!
Double trouble!
Down and dirty!
On the double!
Twice as crooked!
Twice as shifty!
Two-time swindling!
Twice as nifty!
Double crossing!

(Ruff, ruff) It's a dog's life (bark bark)
And man, it's rough
It's a dog's life (bark bark)
I think I've had enough!
Both my hands have turned into feet!
I feel pretty weird
Walkin' down the street!

It's a dog's life (bark bark)
And man, it's rough
It's a dog's life (bark bark)
Ruff, ruff, ruff!
I'd much rather talk than growl
And I'd much rather yell than howl!
Bein' a bow-wow is hard to face
I want to be part of the human race!
It's a dog's life (bark bark)
And man, it's rough
It's a dog's life (bark bark)
I think I've had enough!

Half will be blue!
Brother against brother!
Divided in two!
When the Koopas
Paint the town!

Yes! (Hey, Salvador Dali!)
The fate of your kingdom
Will be up against the wall! (Wall! Wall!)
When folks of different colors
Can't get along at all! (Yeah!)
What's the matter with you?!
We're Koopas! (Yeah!)
Hey, Botticelli, hand me a paintbrush!
Give us room!
Room, room, room!
To bring doom, doom, doom!
Doom, doom, doom!
Right from the start!
Up 'til the end!
Neighbor fighting neighbor!
Friend against friend!
When the Koopas (Koopas!)
Paint the town!
When the Koopas
Paint the town!

Stink City, USA!
Dumpin' down from heaven above
It's just an expression of Koopa love!
Stink City, USA!
Stink City, USA!
We're gonna spread slime over everyone
Stink City, USA!
Never remember havin' so much fun
Stink City, USA!
Meetin' the enemy face to face
Spillin' our garbage on the human race!

The Doomsub's gettin' closer
And it looks about the size of a whale!

The canals go down the drain!

They're on our tail!
The Doomsub's gettin' closer
And it looks about the size of a whale!

It can do a-hundred-and-four
My Karoobi
It can rip!
It can race!
It can keep up the pace!
My rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!
Rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!

Mega Move

Mega Move is a song originating from an episode of Captain N: The Game Master entitled "The Feud of Faxanadu". An instrumental version of this song was later incorporated into The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 to replace the copyrighted songs that were included in Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario, The Beauty of Kootie, Princess Toadstool for President, Reign Storm, Toddler Terrors of Time Travel, and Kootie Pie Rocks. However, the entire song, complete with lyrics, was included on Shout! Factory's The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 DVD set, despite the fact the lyrics were never heard on the show.

Spotlight (hey)
So bright
Shinin' right down on you
Don't wait (hey)
Or hesitate
There's only one thing to do
Put on a mega move
Get into the groove
Nothing can stop you now
Put on a mega move
Get tough (hey)
Play rough
Take it right to the top
Motivate (hey)
Accelerate
Never never never stop
Put on a mega move
Get into the groove
Nothing can stop you now
Put on a mega move
Put on a mega move!
