Cut from the Team is a luck-based Battle minigame in Mario Party 8. The name is an expression used when someone is removed from a team, e.g., in sports.

Introduction[edit]

The four players are shown on a mountain with a small stand and ten wires connected to it.

Gameplay[edit]

Players line up and take turns walking onto the stand and cutting one of the ten wires, three of which are "live." A player who cuts a dead wire is safe and moves to the back of the line.
