World 3-3 is the ninth level of Super Mario Land, part of the Easton Kingdom of Sarasaland. It takes place high up on rocky terrain, with a cave at the end.

Overview

Mario begins the level on a piece of ground behind a pipe and two pillars. Mario must cross Lifts moving horizontally and diagonally to reach another piece of ground with a Ganchan in front. a Warp Pipe occupying a Piranha Plant can be entered by crossing dropping lifts, leading Mario to a bonus room filled with coins. Next is three narrow gaps that Mario can dash over. Following that is a set of Mystery Blocks with two Kumos below it. Above that is a piece of floating ground with a Bombshell Koopa and a row of coins on it, with bricks above. One brick contains a 1UP heart.

After that, Mario must cross more lifts traveling in varying directions. Next is another optional Pipe leading to a Bonus room, this time with a few coins a small spike pit Mario should avoid. Afterward, Mario must ride a lift and climb up a tunnel twice. After doing that, Mario reaches a cave.

After passing a Batadon and Tokotoko, Mario reaches a set of blocks with a Ganchan bouncing around it. Inside one of the blocks is a power-up. Next is another set of blocks near a Batadon, and then Mario reaches the fight against Hiyoihoi.
