Kartastrophe is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 8, as well as a single-player minigame in the game's Test for the Best mode. It takes place on a track akin to most circuit tracks. Its name is a portmanteau of "kart" and "catastrophe."

Introduction[edit]

The players drive their karts up to the starting line as the lights signal the start of the race.

Gameplay[edit]

The four players compete in a simple two-lap race around the circuit. Players can turn their Wii Remotes all the way to turn at sharp curves. The first player to reach the finish line wins. Ties are possible if multiple racers finish within a fraction of a second.
