Wario near a hat switch

A hat switch[1] is an object in Wario: Master of Disguise. They are large Wario Caps which Wario can use to save his progress within an episode. Many hat switches are found in the game, and they are first seen in the top left corner of the first episode of the S.S. Caviar, by a breakable floor. They are then seen in every main story episode in the game. When Arty Wario draws a warp door, it will take him back to the last hat switch he saved at (or the beginning of the episode if he has not used one).
