Heart Coins appear in Yoshi's Story and can be collected for points. Not unlike coins in the Mario series, Heart Coins can be hidden everywhere in a stage, including in the sky and in the ground. Most of these coins, however, are very easy to acquire.
Trivia
- There has also been a long-lasting rumor that if the Yoshi clan manages to collect every Heart Coin in every stage, the mysterious and extremely powerful Purple Yoshi will be unlocked. Sadly, this is untrue, meaning that the collection of coins are only for the point purposes.
