About Boom Boom
I believe your an admin right? Do you think you can help in making the Boom Boom page into a species page rather than a character page? Sources such as the official European, Australian, and Japanese websites of Super Mario 3D Land as well a some manuals, refer Boom Boom in the plural sense. Two games also show multiple Boom Booms, Super Mario Advance 4 through World-e and New Super Mario Bros. U on the world map. This proves Boom Boom being a species and some users refuse to change the page since they make excuses such as other Boom Booms being clones, which the game has no proof to suggest this. Nothing special
I checked your last edits on the Frog Switch Block article where you uploaded and added an image (pictured) and wrote this statement:
"The level Domino Row contains a unique type of Frog Switch Block. Only the top half of the block is filled in, and Wario is able to move upwards through the block, while still using it as a place to stand."
Being you honest, there's nothing special with those Frog Blocks, they are as common as the other Frog Blocks seen in the game. They aren't unique, they are common Frog Blocks with a thin platform (the ones Wario can jump from below to pass or fall through when his is in Zombie form) behind them. Take a glance at the screenshot again, or play the level again by yourself, to know they are not so special; having a thin platform from behind doesn't make those blocks unique.

Clarification
Sorry to bother you, but I'm sorta confused. The infobox I added to the Shroom Shake page not too long ago was removed by me because that infobox is for Recipes. But if you look at the Shooting Star (Paper Mario) page, it has the Recipe infobox, despite not being the result of a recipe. Actual size sprites are "always" preferable?
On modern monitors, actual size sprites are absolutely tiny. On the page itself, the files you are reverting are miniature and can barely be made out at all. I can assure you that the sprites have not been edited, just made larger, and in some cases more accurate than the ones I'm replacing. Please don't just revert them because they're a bit bigger. If they need to be smaller for whatever reason, they can be resized. But making them larger makes them blurry and horrible. So this is the only way to make them both visible and actually nice to look at. Unless you can give me a way to make them larger on the pages they're on? Fizzle (talk) 17:35, 6 January 2013 (EST)
- I can assure you on my monitor they're absolutely tiny. I guess I'll have to make a proposal if it's the standard, because it's a bit rubbish. 8x8 size sprites on 1920x1080 resolutions are obviously going to be virtually impossible to see in any detail. I mean, sure, you can see them, but... look at Tamara. It just looks like a bunch of pixels unless you squint. Then again, not sure how big your resolution is... but on HD standard screens they are really difficult to see. Fizzle (talk) 17:59, 6 January 2013 (EST)
- I tried making a SVG file but whatever converter I used botched it up, it doesn't scale. I'm not sure how to mark images for deletion on this wiki, but here's the file: File:Antotto.svg. I can try overwriting it later though if I figure it out. It seems harder to make these files than it looks, it's not really reasonable for multiple files, it looks like it needs to be done by hand for whatever reason. I believe I may be able to, if they are out there. It's a bit harder finding enemy names from the Wario Land series and the Virtual Boy game MIGHT be stretching it due to the way the system died a swift death, but virtually every enemy has an official Japanese name somewhere, it's just a question of locating it. I think I can wind my way around the sources I've found to locate them, hopefully. Man though, SML2 has so many enemies and some of them appear like, once. - Unfortunately not. All the ones I found are the ones with artwork that are in the manual. I can add names for them all, but that's all that seems to exist. Without a guide book in Japan, I suspect the names simply don't exist or are unknown. I guess that includes the bosses too. Sorry about that. I will keep looking, but I would suggest moving them to descriptive names for now. If you need help coming up with good names I can chip in, but I recommend making them neutral. Are the names in the template the ones you plan to use? Were the bosses named in the manual? I would kind of recommend against simply making up names if it can be avoided. My suggestions for the boss names would be:
- Mace Dinosaur or Mace Dino or Spike Dino (reference to Spike, of course) or even just Ball and Chain Dino since a "mace" is a different weapon really
- Sand Swordfish (Sanorkel is a really vague name)
- Pot Robot or Pot Mech (It's not really that clown like, and it's more of a robot or a mech than anything else)
- They're not particularly exciting names but they're descriptive and don't fool people into thinking they're official. Fizzle (talk) 09:33, 13 January 2013 (EST)

Virtual Boy Wario Land
If you let me know what year and month (and issue number) it is I believe I know where to find the scans to download myself. I would be very curious to see. I was thinking "dragon" for the first guy too because dragon seems to be used more commonly than dinosaur in the series and it's a bit less definite and we don't know exactly what he is. Also, Pot Tank would work, perhaps? It still looks like a pot even though it's a tank, it has handles for ears and everything.
Given that Nintendo likes to pretend the Virtual Boy never happened I wouldn't get your hopes up TOO high... but it might be worth it if only just to remind them that the game exists and they should release it on the 3DS Virtual Console already. Fizzle (talk) 09:58, 13 January 2013 (EST)

Hi YoshiKong, I recently created two subpages (User:Mariotime11/active and User:Mariotime11/inactive) which contain templates I use to indicate my status on my talk page. It says on the Warning Policy that "tampering with warning templates for unofficial uses" is against the rules. To make the active/inactive templates, I used the code from here and changed it, is that allowed? If it causes any problem, I'll remove it.

Category stuff
Hi. In the Paper Mario Series Enemies category, it lists all the enemies that appear in the Paper Mario series. In the New Super Mario Bros. series enemies category, some users started to add this category to the enemies that appeared in that series, but you deleted that because those enemies can be listed into more specific categories. Can I delete this category from the enemy pages, or should I leave it?

Like what I have so far?
Super Mario Checkers is (obviously) a Mario and Luigi version of checkers. It also comes with an additional side to the board. If you flip the board over you have tic tac toe. Super Mario Checkers usually sells for $20 - $30. It comes with 12 Luigi peices and 12 Mario peices. It also comes with two Luigi hats and two Mario hats for kings. This game is fit for 2 - 2 players.

Sorry to disturb you for something minor, but I think I've come up with a similarity between the both Yoshi Island games, as they both have a gelatinous boss that can be eaten, Marching Milde and Gilbert the Gooey, but one is a sub-boss and the other a main boss, so I'm not sure whether to add it or not and I don't want to add something unneeded onto the page. Capitalization
Hi YoshiKong!
What is the wiki's position on capitalization? I think there was once a proposal, but I can't find it (if it exists, that would be the one that led people to move pages like "List of Glitches in Super Mario Bros." to "List of glitches in Super Mario Bros."; or maybe that's the one that led people to move pages like "Super Mario Bros./Glitches" to "List of Glitches in Super Mario Bros.", in that case that would be a "subpage" proposal rather than a "capitalization" proposal and that would be off-topic :D)
I'm asking you this because I'd like to edit every article that has subsection like "References to Other Games" and "References in Later Games", in order to remove the (pointless) upper cases.
There are also a lot of official pages like MarioWiki:Chronology, MarioWiki:Manual of Style, MarioWiki:Rules have a lot of upper cases in the subsection titles. Should I ask somebody to edit them?

Unfortunately I just realized that there are also the sections Physical Appearannce, Traits and Abilities, Relationships with Other Characters, Official Profiles and Statistics, Game Appearances, and Names in Other Languages, who have useless upper cases. I will probably create a collaboration thread on the forum because I won't be able to do it all by myself.
Are you aware that, since Walkazo moved Cough Virus to Toge and deleted Cough Virus, you have a dead link in the list of pages you created, on your user page? I just wanted to inform you of that :)

Well, that whole thing is the Poltergust 5000. The Dark-Light Device itself just looks like the end bulb part of Luigi's flashlight, and he screws it onto the end of the flashlight in place of the one that was there once it's acquired.

- Yeah, I was a little confused about that myself while I was playing the game. Apparently, both the flashlight (and by extension the Strobulb) and the vacuum nozzle thingy are integrated into the end of the Poltergust 5000's hose, i.e. the flashlight and the vacuum are interchangeable (I'm not exactly sure how that's logically possible, since the cylindrical part that would presumably contain the batteries that power the flashlight would need to be empty for the vacuum to work, and vice versa, but it's a videogame after all, so whatevs). So when not vacuuming things, the flashlight is automatically active, and when the vacuum is activated, the flashlight goes away until the vacuuming stops. So both pictures depict the Poltergust 5000, just with different attachments on the end. As for which one to use as the article picture, I guess I'd say the one where the vacuum attachment is shown, since the Poltergust 5000's main function is to suck up and contain all the different ghosts and items and stuff, but I'd imagine it really wouldn't matter which went there, as again, both pictures show the same device. Alternatively, both could go there, and they could be accompanied by some sort of trimmed down version of what I explained above.

Yeah, in terms of that; since King Boo was first formally introduced in the Luigi's Mansion game, that said quote best represents him in general saying about his "hatred" for Mario & Luigi. The other one was exclusive for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in regards to King Boo trying to get revenge for past events.
