Round and Round is one of the Assembly Dojo techniques in WarioWare: D.I.Y. It is the second technique in the red set, and the twenty-sixth overall in the game. The goal of this technique is to synchronize an animation.

Overview[edit]

At the start of Assembly, the player is presented with three Objects. In the back is an Object labeled "Whole", making up the face of a ring of twelve lights. In the front is an object labeled "Power", resembling a power button. Off-screen is an Object labeled "Part", with four pieces of Art with three cels each, one for every light in the ring of lights in the Object "Whole" lighting up in a clockwise ring. By default, when tapping the "Power" object, the object "Part" jumps to be laid on top of the "Whole" object, and the lights in "Part" turn on and run from the top left to top right, before pausing on the twelfth light.

Solution[edit]

To complete the technique, the second item of Object "Part"'s fifth trigger must be set to "Art > When art finishes playing".

In-game text[edit]

  • Description"This interesting object lights up in a circle when tapped... All you need to do is complete the animation!"
  • Hint #1"Seems like the art is being animated in order."
  • Hint #2"The object will continue to its next art after which art finishes playing?"
  • Notes (Page 1)"Even though any given art can only have up to four cels, we want it to look like all 12 lights light up in order."
  • Notes (Page 2)"But by breaking down the object into four different art types of three cels each and playing those in order, we can simulate an object animation of 12 separate cels."
  • Notes (Page 3)"So what do we have to do to link all this art together? What we need to think about first is triggering the playing of the next art when the previous art has finished playing. We also have to be sure to specify which art has finished playing."
  • Notes (Page 4)"If we just set a trigger for when art finishes playing, the trigger will activate when ANY art finishes playing. That's why we have to attach "When art is ______" to the trigger with an "&.""
