Drop Like a Rock! is one of the Assembly Dojo techniques in WarioWare: D.I.Y. It is the second technique in the green set, and the second overall in the game. The goal of this technique is to make an object go down when it displays a downwards arrow.
Overview[edit]
At the start of Assembly, a single Object labeled "Block" is at the center of the screen. It features two separate animations, one labeled "Normal" that is blank, and one with a downwards-pointing arrow labeled "↓".
Objects[edit]
- Block
| AI # | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | When a time from 3-1 to 5-1 is hit:
Change art to ↓ |
| 2 | ?
Go SOUTH. |
The second trigger of the Object "Block" may be modified by the player.
Solution[edit]
To complete the technique, Object "Block"'s second trigger must be set to "Art > Specific Art > ↓".
In-game text[edit]
- Description – "After the game starts, a ↓ will suddenly appear in the block. Make the block fall as soon as the ↓ appears!"
- Hint #1 – "What about the object has to change for the ↓ to appear?"
- Hint #2 – "You probably need different art to display the ↓, right?"
- Notes (Page 1) – "When you want to set anaction for when specific art is used, select an Art trigger."
- Notes (Page 2) – "What that means is that you can detect if art A, B, C, or D is being used at any given time. Bear in mind that it can't detect which cel is currently in use within the art."
- Notes (Page 3) – "You can, however, create a trigger based on when art finishes playing. To set a trigger based on when specific art has finished playing, first set the trigger based on the specific art, then use an "&" and detect when the art finishes playing."
