Stick on Contact! is one of the Assembly Dojo techniques in WarioWare: D.I.Y. It is the first technique in the green set, and the first overall in the game. The goal of this technique is to ensure that when object A hits object B, object A comes to a stop.
Overview[edit]
At the start of Assembly, two Objects, labeled "A" and "B", are present. Object A starts positioned in a random area on the left side of the screen, and Object B starts in a random area to the right of Object A. Object B has no triggers.
Object AI[edit]
- A
| AI # | Effect |
|---|---|
| 1 | When time 1-1 is hit:
Go EAST. |
| 2 | ?
Stop traveling. |
The second trigger of Object A may be modified by the player.
Solution[edit]
To complete the technique, Object A's second trigger must be set to "Contact > Touch > Another object > B".
In-game text[edit]
- Description – "When the game starts, A will approach B. You need to make A come to a stop as soon as it hits B!"
- Hint #1 – "You could think of "contact" as one object touching another!"
- Hint #2 – "You want to stop movement the moment A hits B."
- Notes (Page 1) – "When you want to base an action on when an object runs into something, set a Contact trigger."
- Notes (Page 2) – "With Contact, you can make the trigger activate the instant two things collide, but you can also continuously activate the trigger the entire time two things overlap. If you select Overlap, the trigger will be continuously activated during the overlap."
- Notes (Page 3) – "In addition to checking for when an object contacts another object, you can also check for when it touches an area on the stage."
