List of techniques

Victory Confetti is one of the Assembly Dojo techniques in WarioWare: D.I.Y. It is the fifth technique in the green set, and the fifth overall in the game. The goal of this technique is to initiate the confetti effect when the microgame is won.

Overview[edit]

At the start of Assembly, two square Objects, labeled "1" and "2", appear in the center of the stage, with "1" on the left and "2" on the right. Both will, at a random point between 1/4th and 3/4ths of the time limit, change their appearance to feature a circle, turn their switches on, and play a confirmation sound. When both of the Objects' switches are on, the microgame is considered won.

Objects[edit]

1
AI # Effect
1 When a time from 3-1 to 7-1 is hit:
Change art to CIRCLE.
Play CORRECT sound effect.
Turn 1 switch ON.
2
AI # Effect
1 When a time from 3-1 to 7-1 is hit:
Change art to CIRCLE.
Play CORRECT sound effect.
Turn 2 switch ON.
2 ?
Activate CONFETTI effect.

The second trigger of the Object "2" may be modified by the player.

Solution[edit]

To complete the technique, Object "2"'s second trigger must be set to "Win/Loss > Win"

In-game text[edit]

  • Description"The game will be won automatically. Your task is simply to spread the victory confetti!"
  • Hint #1"You can't set a trigger to watch both switches, so let's try something else."
  • Hint #2"I wonder if there's a trigger that will monitor if you win."
  • Notes (Page 1)"Win/Loss triggers have no connection at all to objects or switches--they are based simply on whether or not the game has been won or lost."
  • Notes (Page 2)"But remember that there is a big difference between "Win" and "Has been won/Not yet lost." (The same goes for "Loss.") "Win" and "Loss" represent the exact moment when the game is won or lost, but "Has been ______" or "Not yet _____" represent a continuous trigger."
  • Notes (Page 3)"If you don't want the game to register taps after winning or losing, Win/Loss triggers are very useful."
