“You got bad luck, getting matched up against us.”
Spinia, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Spinias are creatures made of thin, papery discs in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They commonly appear in Rogueport Sewers alongside their later-found spiked sub-species called Spanias. Spinias are also found in the Pit of 100 Trials. Two Spinias also appear in Chapter 3 where they help make up the Glitz Pit team the Destructors who served as a replacement for Bandy Andy who had "retired". However, The Destructors exit the rankings when Bandy Andy comes back and takes their place.

Trivia

The unused Spinia with a hamburger bun.
  • The name Spinia derives from Spinner, the creature's trademark action.
  • Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's data reveals what could possibly be another Spinia sub-species (seemingly a hamburger-themed one); even more surprising is that this Spinia-like creature was supposedly going to be an ally of Luigi, as its sprite could be found next to those of Luigi's other partners.
  • In the Tattle Log, there's no space in between "HP" and "3" for Spinia.
