A Snag Bag

The Snag Bag is an item featured in Mario Party DS that costs eight coins. Its purpose is to steal an item from an opponent. The user of the Snag Bag is allowed to choose a single opponent as the Snag Bag's target, similar to the Plunder Chest as it appeared in Mario Party 3. The bag steals one random item from the opponent, including both ordinary items bought from Item Shops as well as Hexes. Afterwards, the player will roll the Dice Block and continue their turn as normal.

Trivia

  • CPUs are programmed in a way to target the lowest port when using the Snag Bag. For instance, if the CPU is Player 4, it will first check to see if Player 3 has items and if they will, they will always steal from them. If Player 3 doesn't have any, it will check Player 2 and so on.[1]
