Hello, Mario![2] is an upcoming, free software application aimed towards young children and set to release on iOS and Android devices[n 1] and the Nintendo Switch as part of the My Mario series. In the game, the player can interact with Mario's face by pulling it or turning it around on the screen, and Mario will react in various ways based on the player's input, in a similar fashion to Super Mario 64's title screen.[2] An Internet connection is not required to play.[1]
Gameplay
Mario's face appears at the center of the screen, and can be interacted with in various ways such as pulling on his facial features (including his mustache), rotating it to make Mario dizzy, or sliding it to cause it to bounce around the screen. Other elements from the Super Mario franchise, including Mushrooms, Super Stars, Warp Pipes, and enemies, can also appear and be interacted with. Mario can also play peekaboo with the player, with a Boo occasionally making an appearance. If the player has been playing for a while, Mario will become sleepy and they will not be able to play any longer, as a way to encourage children to take a break.[1]
