A question about References...

Hi, I was wondering if you think that creating a template like this for use on long pages with all the info in tables, like the Badge and Trophy articles, is a good idea. What it does is it create a header in the article, except it doesn't show up on the table of contents or actual article content. If you link to the header in an article, it will link to the header created by the template. The bulbapedia section explains it better than I can. Bop1996 _(Talk)

I see what you mean, but I am not completely sure that it is necessary. I've seen plain links to sections in articles be used, but if the template will simplify everybody's workload and be made the standard way of linking to sections in articles, then that's not too bad in my opinion. Basically, yes. For instance, if we used this template on Badge, then instead of redirecting badge pages to the game they originate from, we'd be able to link to the actual section for that badge within the tables, without affecting the tables aesthetically. Bop1996 _(Talk)

RE: Notice: Your Appeal

I removed the nonsense from my talk page before even trying to read it. When I put it where it belonged, I began to read it.

Excuse me, I cannot appeal warnings from an administrator? What if an administrator gave a warning to a user for making "unconstructive edits" when their edits were beyond helpful? And I never understood that "issuing fake warnings" fell under "Abusing warning privileges". Why would you have not expanded it in your warning policy? And you're telling me I need to know better than to praise other users? In Wikipedia, you can praise users, especially by awarding them a barnstar, or by altering the code of a real warning.

This is one of the worst times I have to be treated on a website in my life. A reminder, or even a plain notice, to tell me that "abusing warning privileges" is the same with "praising other users by changing the wording of real warnings" would have kept me on this site.

I am never coming back to this site, JUST how you and Phoenix treated me.

Greetings, oh mighty Shroomlords! if you may take some time off from your world conquest agenda, I have an idea that may just make the ol' newspaper a bit more webcomicy... It's a webcomic! Now I know what you're thinking, and you're a sick, sick person. Anywhohowways, It would be an honor to have my webcomic hosted on the shroom, and have my grey matter join the collective pulsating blob that is the shroom writng staff.

"The PiTs: life as a Plumber-in-training" is about teenage plumber Jack, and his many-ish adventures, saving the princess, fighting da baddies, and just trying to find his place. I had planed for the comic to be mostly story driven, though usually featuring a regular gag, usually satirizing various aspects of Mario games and video games in general.

The main characters are (frm left to right on the promotional artwork): Toader:Jack's best friend. Toader is a gaurd and various grunt worker at anchovie castle(most of the events take place in Jack's home kingdom, the Anchovie disrict).Toader is extremely lazy and a hardcore slacker, although fiercely loyal to the princess. He's a self-proclaimed ladies man, and constantly flirts with Brandy or the nearest attractive female. He cares deeply for his friend jack, but typically not enough to actually help him.

Princess Brandy: The young ruler of the anchovie distrct. Her father dissappeared a few years ago, and she has been ruling the kingdom on her own. Brandy is a bit shy, yet still strong-willed and independent-minded. She has known Jack since they both were babies, and cares for him deeply. She is also the object od Iggy's affection, and is constantly kidnapped by him during his attempts to conquer the anchovie district.

Herb:Jack's mentor. Herb has sort of half-raised Jack, and has known most of the main characters for a very long time. Herb is cynical, baf-tempered and rude, and he's probably voiced by Danny DeVito. Despite his general disposition, Herb loves jack like a son or nephew at the least. Sort of Jack's "yoshi", Jack rides Herb around while he eats enemies, only Jack's not on his back. He's in his mouth. And for those of you still wondering, yes, Herb is a kirby-thing.

Jack: the comic's main character.Jack can sometimes vome off as lazy or unmotivated, but in general is pretty hardworking and persistent despite his typically indifferent appearence.Jack's life is admittadely hard, seeing as he has to save countless lives every couple of months, but he usually pulls through not looking to entirely misreble, and still cracking jokes with a sense of humor that only he fully understands. He has 'feelings for Brandy, although he's to timid to ever tell her,vand instead awkwardly makes uncomfortable conversation wirh her. he and the princess are close friends, and often hang out or play video games together despite the fact that she makes him a little uncomfortable. Jack was ababdoned at birth, and was primarily raisrd in the castle. He lives in a discarded statue of liberty head. Just because he is the main character, his conclusion to his description is no better. You'll get no adequate conclusions from me!

Iggy Koopa:We all know Iggy Koopa. The demented mad scientist koopaling we all know and love, sort of. Most people don't actually know the koopalings and therefore don't love them either, but moving on... Teenage Iggy is constantly trying to take over the Anvhovie District and kidnapping Brandy, always to be thwarted by Jack. He has formed a playfully bitter rivalry with the young plumber.

Cakletta: MYSTERIOUSLY MYSTERIOUS! Cackletta will stop at nothing to regain full power. I don't feel like explaining, just go read your M&LSS instruction book.

Miles, Beetles, and Ed (the paramilde, the buzzy beetle, and the ninji, respectively): Iggy's slacker minions that survive every battle due to a combination of dumb luck and cowardice. Miles is sort of a less-than average everyman, Beetles is a hopeless coward, and Ed is just a complete moron. What fun!

The first story arc would be about about a grand plot by iggy to conquer the universe, orchestrated by cackletta, and eventually involving several cameos from several mainstream characters.

Well, that's it! I appologise for not being more active on the wiki before this, it's just that I only have a tablet, and typing is a pain. just typing this took hours, literally, and the only thing keeping me from killing myself is the demonic ramblings of Conan O'Brien in the background as a type this because the electric company decided not to cut off my powerat midnight like they threatened to. Thanks man. Honestly, it was all of a sudden why I got warned. About me calling him a newbie, it was two weeks ago, then I also got called a jerk. But, I didn't do anything next. After the first warning, Glowsquid gave me a personal warning about what happened few days before, so nothing happened between me and him until this, not even with one of his friends. I, err, umm...

First, let me apologise for not being more active/responsive. You see, I only have computer access on the weekends mostly, and lately I have been experiencing internet problems or unexpected circumstances that have prevented me from being as active as I should. (Although a lot of the blame falls on my being forgetful!) I realize first impressions are important, and I've been trying to get my act together. I sincerely hope this isn't a foreshadowing of my future on the site. Ehh, fist impressions are overrated!

Secondly, while I got your message and apologize once again for not meeting deadlines, I am unfortunately not good with technology as a whole(which is pretty sad for someone so involved in something about video games). If it's not too much trouble, please explain exactly how I'm supposed to do the things you told me to for the shroom.

Hey, sorry for the late response. :x I'm really good with this whole responding on time thing. :P In any case, don't worry too much about having had problems with submitting your section— the main thing that you might want to know about submitting sections is that on the first Saturday of every month, you will received a message from me that gives you information on when you should have your section sent in. When your section is ready to be submitted, you should send it in via Private Message on our forum to Edofenrir (our Sub-director). And that is really all you will have to worry about— The 'Shroom Staff handles it from there. I hope that answers your questions, and if you have anything else you need to know, feel free to do so! 'Shroom Templates

Hey SMB. Just to let you know, the templates {{ShroomStrongContent}} and {{Shroom-image}} are currently categorized as a Notice Template and Image Notice respectively. I'm just wondering, as those categories are kept for mainspace templates, can the category of the two templates be made Category:The 'Shroom templates instead? ShroomStrongContent is already categorized there, but the Notice Template category should still be removed. Thanks in advance.

Hey, welcome back! I assume you're talking about the requirements to become an Autoconfirmed user, right? If so, then you must make at least five edits and have been registered on the wiki for at least four days. From the looks of it, you have already made the requisite number of edits (at the point of my posting this reply, you have twenty-two edits total– eleven of which are edits to main content articles). However, looking at when you joined the wiki (19:35, 11 January 2013), you have been here for a little under two days. In about 53 hours (or about two days and five hours) from the point of my posting this, you should automatically become an autoconfirmed user. Banned for all eternity from the forums

SMB, PDI here. I just found out today, and it was a great shock, that I was banned from the forums. I had to do a double-take to actually believe it. It said for disturbing the peace and trolling members on that gun control thread. I just want to say to you that I had no intention of trolling anybody on that thread. I was passionate about the issue. That last post I made (which probably did it) about the 100% of americans and the DK Crew and the two hands... I was just trying to be humorous. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass I was just trying to spread a little humor because the debate was so heated. But it wasn't my intention to troll anyone. No one even mentioned the word "trolling" until six pages into the thread. I'm not one. It was a mistake on my part. I did not know how contentious it was becoming among members because of the debate I caused. I should have read other posts instead of just skimming through most. Why couldn't someone just have sent me a warning that the thread was becoming overboard? Or why couldn't someone have just locked the thread instead of causing me to get banned for a thread I started?

I have never, ever been banned from the forums before, or even warned. Any my first offense, after all my contributions, was perma-ban? I don't think I deserve this, I didn't mean for this to happen. I won several SOTM awards and 'Shroom end of the year achievements, more so than anyone. So why did OTHERS get Warnings and TEMPORARY BANS and I didn't? Why? Is there anything I can do to prove I didn't mean to start a troll topic? If a mod had only sent me a warning I would have known immediately! Can you talk to the other mods and see if my punishment can be amended to a warning or a temporary ban? Is there any steps I can take to reconcile? Is there anything you can do for me? I hope the fact that it is taking days so far isn't a bad sign. When I read your response, it felt like a weight had been lifted and I only hope it doesn't all come crashing down again. I wish I could go back and uncreate that thread. I feel awful that members are still flaming each other. But I just made the thread to have a civil discourse. I may have been a little arrogant in the early on, but I was just making political arguments. If whatever mod did this to me was not for gun control, I know I would not be in this spot. Without consulting any other mods, and without so much as a warning, one of the mods, I don't know who, took everything away from me. On the Ban Log, every other one says they were permanently banned only after warnings and repeated temporary bans. But with me, one strike and I'm out. They don't do that to ANYONE, let alone someone who holds more 'Shroom Positions than anyone and won as many if not more Awards than ANYONE! For an offense I did not commit, they vacated four 'Shroom positions in an instant! It doesn't make a bit of sense and I can't believe I am not unbanned yet and all my positions restores. I cannot believe I am banned for even one more second. I only made political arguments. I never once called anybody a name, or trolled or flamed anyone. Nor did anyone call me a name, except I think buffoonish and some of my arguments were bad. But keep in mind Gun Control is the 2nd most controversial issue in America, and right now, it is numero uno. If I am not unbanned, although I cannot fathom that happening, I do not give permission for my name to be listed on Pipe Plaza as being banned for trolling. It is not true, I contest it, and I resent it. Read all my posts yourself. BTW I cannot thank you enough for listening and helping me. I appreciate it, but I had everything taken away from me without so much as an explanation. And the fact that there has been no answer yet has me really, really scared. Hi, someone got into my account today and inserted profanity into my talk page under my name. I don't know if I just forgot to log out and someone used it or if it was actually hacked by someone trying to get me in trouble, but I did not do it. We do not fulfill promotion requests on the wiki. The wiki administration promotes those that they feel have contributed to the site, have demonstrated knowledge of the policies and processes of the site, and that are trustworthy members.
