The Thwamplet[1] is an e-Reader level in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong-e mode of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. It was distributed within a set of five e-Reader cards in an August 2004 sweepstakes from the Japanese magazine CoroCoro Comic.[2] Its English name may be a pun on "Thwomp" and the word gauntlet, meaning a tough challenge.
Overview[edit]
The level starts with the red Color Switch activated. While avoiding the Thwomp, Mario can use the spring and climb the red ladder to reach the blue Color Switch. It must be pressed when the Thwomp is between the two blue platforms, so that Mario is not blocked by the Thwomp. From here, Mario can carry the key to the door on the far right side of the level, either running past the Thwomps or optionally stopping to collect the presents.
