The Striker Cup on a pedestal

The Striker Cup is the final tournament in the Wii game Mario Strikers Charged. It is the most difficult tournament in the game.

Players enter this tournament after they beat the Crystal Cup's champion. In the preliminaries, players must face nine different opponents, each one a different captain than the last. Players must get into the Top 8 out of 10 to move on, based on points gained or lost in each game: 3 for every win, 0 for every loss, 1 for every sudden-death loss. Each challenger is randomized, so players does not know who its next opponent will be.

After players has surpassed all nine preliminary rounds, they will advance to the finals. The finals consist of three rounds, the quarterfinals, the semifinals, and the finals. In each round, the highest seed will always play the next available lowest seed (i.e. #1 vs. #8, #2 vs. #7, etc.). Players must start over the tournament if they lose in any of the three games. However, if players win all three finals matches, they move onto the Championship Round.

The incumbent Champion on players' first attempt will always be Petey Piranha, who would be unlocked upon winning the tournament, along with unlocking the Stormship Stadium and Galactic Stadium (if one has both the Brick Wall and Golden Foot Awards). However, once players beat Petey Piranha, the defending Champion will be randomized from the roster. Players must beat the Champion and their team on the Stormship Stadium in a series of three games. Whichever side that wins two games first is the winner of the tournament and becomes or remains champion.
