"Splatoon 2 Time Traveling" is the twenty-fifth episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers Splatoon 2.
Plot synopsis[edit]
Andrew Trego high fives his future self through the Time Thing 7200 and throws a pillow case full of popcorn, a rubber chicken mask, and Frizzy with a jetpack on into the future. Jenna walks in and asks what Andrew is doing, making Andrew realize he has lost track of time and forgot to start the show. Andrew introduces himself, Izzy, and Jenna. Andrew tells Jenna he did "it", to which Jenna asks what "it" is and assumes he made a mess. Andrew says he made a time machine, to which Jenna asks why as Andrew's future self high fives his past self again. Andrew tells Jenna he has been to the future and there is a new Splatoon game which contains things that their past selves can not imagine. Jenna tells Andrew that game already exists: Splatoon 2 on the Nintendo Switch. With this realization, Andrew finds out he created a time machine for nothing. Worthington from the future gives Andrew cake, which he and Izzy fight over. Izzy then reveals the Top 3 segment to be the top 3 things to see in Splatoon 2.
Number 3 is the story mode. After Jenna explains the mode, Andrew decides the show this game to "the guys". When Jenna asks where he is going, Andrew says he is going back in time to the party that was held in episode ten. Andrew immediately returns to change his shirt, as he could not tell himself apart. Andrew then calls time traveling confusing.
Andrew calls everyone from episode ten "party animals" and cheers Terry on. Worthington interrupts them and gives Andrew cake, to which Andrew states he is already eating it. Andrew then tells Jenna that Splatoon amiibo can be used in this game, which causes Andrew to go to the past to obtain his. This makes Andrew realize he found the amiibos he was missing, as they were in the future when he thought they were on the couch. Jenna introduces the number 2 pick, Salmon Run. Andrew wonders why it is called that, as the Inklings do not have feed. Worthington puts the cake in the Time Thing 7200, giving it to past Andrew.
The number 1 pick is the Turf War battles. Andrew thinks this sounds amazing, saying he can not believe he does not have to make a time machine. Jenna asks Andrew to think about how much time he would have saved if he went back in time and told himself not to make it. The Ask Izzy segment, "Do You Have a Favorite Superhero?", then plays. After Andrew and Jenna tell the viewer to like, subscribe, and visit the Play Nintendo website, Andrew texts his future self "duck" and wonders when he will receive it. A dance party then begins where Jenna and Andrew use the Time Thing 7200 to visit the dance party from the tenth episode. At the party, three Andrews are seen.
