"Mezase Pokémon Master" is the first opening theme for the Pokémon anime. It is the most famous of all the anime's Japanese opening themes, and has since been re-used and remixed multiple times for films and future seasons of the show. It was originally performed by Japanese voice actress and singer Rica Matsumoto. A cover of the original version of the song appears as a playable song in Donkey Konga 3.
