Hagure Teresa is a young Boo that appears in Super Mario Kart 1 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It is an adaptation of the Ghost item from Super Mario Kart.
Tricked by the Kongs to take a fake shortcut in Ghost Valley, Mario and Lady end up in a dead end, where they find the Hagure Teresa all alone. Lady takes it with them, making it visibly happy. Later on, Mario and Donkey Kong Jr.'s karts are involved in a disastrous car crash. Everyone but Junior got out safe and sound from the situation, so Mario decides to take the ape to the hospital to tend to his injuries, abandoning the race. The Hagure Teresa follows Mario, and when faced against the Mole Biker Gang, who are instructed by Bowser to stop him (putting Junior's life at risk, despite their alliance), the Boo enters the kart's fuel pipe, turning it transparent and letting Mario avoid the incoming Monty Moles without any problem. After that, the Hagure Teresa is not seen again.
