Smooch Spiders are four legged yellow and white spiders with large lips, spikes on their bottoms, and white beads for feet. They first appear in Yoshi's Woolly World and reappear in the remake Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. They attempt to hurt Yoshi by pulling the web Yoshi's on and then trying to kiss him to hurt him. If Yoshi makes contact with a Smooch Spider, he will also get hurt. Even though they cannot be defeated, they can be stunned by throwing a yarn ball at it. Some Smooch Spiders move up and down and some swing back and forth. In one small area, about four Smooch Spiders spin a large web harmoniously. If a Smooch Spider kisses something other than Yoshi himself, Yoshi is able to eat the heart they make and turn it to a pink yarn ball. Shy Guys and beads can be found tangled in their webs.

Smooch Spiders only appear in the level Lair of the Smooch Spiders.
