Kent C. Koopa, the large Koopa bully blocking Pleasant Path.

Kent C. Koopa is a Gargantua Koopa Troopa who blocks Pleasant Path, the road to Koopa Village and the Koopa Bros. Fortress in Paper Mario. He appears after Chapter 1, when Mario no longer has to go to Koopa Village. However, he is blocking Kolorado's way as well, who wants to return home after his adventures on Lavalava Island. He is a completely optional boss. To pass him, Kent C. demands a toll of one hundred coins. He is an extremely strong fighter, with high offense and defense. However, he can be defeated easily if Mario and company attack his tail, instead of his shelled body. Kent C. Koopa uses a Ground Pound attack on Mario to squish him to do 10 damage, and a slow Shell Toss to flatten Mario and his partner for 3 damage. He could thus aptly cause great difficulty for Mario by knocking his partners out for possibly several turns. Also, he is very easily put to sleep, which can be easily taken advantage of.

Kent C.'s name may be a word play on the term "can't see", in reference to his huge glasses.

Stats and Tattle Information

  • Max HP: 70
  • Attack: 3 (Shell Slam), 10 (Ground Pound)
  • Defense: 6
  • Location: Pleasant Path
  • Tattle: This is Kent C. Koopa. He seems pretty greedy for such a large Koopa. He sometimes does a stamp attack with his shell. That attack has a power of 3. His shell attack also damages party members (like me!), so be sure to defend! As with all Koopas, your chances will greatly improve if you can flip him over. His defense power will drop. Watch it, though! He'll attack as soon as he's back on his feet. And by the way, is he not THE HUGEST KOOPA EVER!?! Somebody told me that he used to live in Koopa Village...
